First time to WDW, we were heading to DL but a friend of ours works in WDW and since none of her family has been able to come all year she is giving me a once in a life time opp, first park admission, 40% any hotel and 25% or more off food, so DL is out and we are heading to WDW.

???
Trying to figure out were to stay, we only need a bed to sleep in, since grandma here is 45 and granddaughter is 2 we done need fancy, but we do need comfortable so I was thinking one of the moderate hotels.

Second, I am totally confused with the peak season, but the AP people get discounts. In DL that would not happen. So how crowded will it be around that time, my friend asked and all the supervisors said it would not get busy until Easter time. I am from WA, but I grew up in the East and I know school is not out in the end of Feb. So why is it peak season, and if peak season why is AAA and AP giving such discounted rates.

We want a relaxing vacation and if it is truly peak season and so many people will be going, I would rather wait until April or May but that is when my friend comes hom.

So does anyone know about this and I am sure I will have a lot more questions since I never dreamed of going to WDW. Oh the dates we are going are Feb 25 to March 6, or the park days Feb 26 to March 5. Forgot that may help.

I wouldn't think end of February would be peak crowds or anything. In the past, I think 'peak season' for Easter has just been the week before and the week after, but they seem to be going from Pres day to Easter this year.

I think you should be in great shape.

If it's just the two of you, either a moderate or a value should be adequate. I find the moderates a little more relaxing in their decor, but the values are more 'FUN' (bigger than life and bright) which might appeal a little more to your granddaughter.

Well lots of schools have off for President's Week (2/18-2/22).

And since Easter and Passover are about a month apart this year, lots of schools are giving 2 shorter breaks instead of 1 long one.

IMO, March has become a really crowded month, almost overwhelming.

Your dates sound great, after President's Week but before Easter.
