My husband does the same thing.
Don't worry ... he'll thank you when you get there. Until then, I will share in your sense of accomplishment! Doesn't it feel good to have something on the books?

You know... you could make this into an experiment. Just make ADR's for yourself. Then, let him try to get in on his own.
I know, I know... I'm bad. But I bet he would start seeing things in a different light very quickly. :)

Make some reservations and don't tell him about them. Then try to get into Le Cellier or 'Ohana or any character meal. When he starts complaining, mention: "Oh, I forgot to tell you, but as a precaution I made a reservation at "X" for dinner at [state time]. Now do you see why it is necessary to plan ahead?"

Oh husbands! We are leaving for the World in 6 days and my husband is just now asking where we are going to eat, and I made the ADR's last summer!

DH & I are going for a weekend in May. I say do you have any where you do/don't want to eat? I don't care he says. So I decided to look at the menus while he is sitting next to me in bed knowing that he will start reading them too...he says things like we aren't going to eat there are we? that one looks good lets eat there...
He picked all three restaurants for the weekend. Two we have done before, and one is new to us.
He will always say he doesn't care, then when we get there he cares. Men!

Be careful :), not all men are like that. I love making ADRs and knowing where I'm going to eat. We're going to DL this time around and it just wouldn't be complete without dinner at Blue Bayou. Why risk not being able to get in; all it takes is a single phone call. Plus, it's so nice being expected, to have your name on the list, not having to walk away in disgust because there are no available tables. It feels like were part of the privileged few when we're not turned away, just because we did a bit of extra planning. It's well worth it, I think. But no, it's not a male/female thing, in my opinion, it's a plan/no-plan thing. Some people just prefer to wing it; I like to plan, always have, always will; it adds to the fun and the anticipation.
