I will be going to Disneyland/DCA February 7th with my brother-in-law and we've made a deal. I'll ride Tower of Terror with him if he'll ride the Sun Wheel with me. We want to do those first to get them out of the way, but I'm not sure if the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area still opens later than the rest of that park. I know they used to open something like an hour or so after the rest of DCA opened.

Does anyone know if they are still doing this, or is the whole park now opens at the same time? This will affect how we plan our day. I've tried to find this information elsewhere on the boards, but after looking through several pages, I gave up.

Thanks!

The DCA turnstiles open around 9:30 AM, with the area from the GCH enterence to the Sunshine Plaza area available, which includes the Baker's Field Bakery for Breakfast and Coffee, and Soarin' open early.

There are ropes at the entrance of Hollywood Pictures Backlot, just south of the Sunshine Plaza on the Entertainment Corridor (aka Parade Route), and near GRR (basically where the GRR lockers are). All 3 ropes are dropped at 10 AM (aka official opening). All major attractions, including ToT, do open at 10 AM.

Some Paradise Pier rides open at 10:30 AM or 11 AM, such as Orange Stinger, Golden Dreams and Maliboomer.
