my son is very large for his age. He wil l be 29 months when we go in march but he is a big boy. he is 37 inces tall and 38 pounds. I'm nervous that the CM's are going to want proof of his age at disneyland getting in. Anyone have experience with this?

if you ask him how old he is how many fingers does he hold up? If he's 2 and big then he's 2 and big, at most they give you a look, but you know you're being honest so it's not a big deal. When we took our under 3's If I saw the look I'd make a casual comment about them getting their first AP on their birthday in 'xxx'

Personally, I'd take his birth certificate with you. That way if anyone has any questions, you have the copy. MickeyDogMom was always big for her age (at some ages, bigger than her older bro) and for me, it was just easier to carry it.

Not a bad idea to bring the BC, but honestly, when I worked front entrance (only twice) they told me to only question it if it was obviously an older child (through actions and appearance). The only two I've ever seen be disputed and sent to GR before entering was a child who was up to my shoulder (so prolly 4'9") that they were saying didn't need a pass and a woman who had wrinkles and grey hair stating that she was under 11 (when that was the age limit).

if you ask my son how old he is he looks at you like your nuts. (he doesn't quite get that yet) but he is quite vocal speaks better than my four year old at times. The only reason I don't want to carry his BC is because of ID theft and I would be afraid I would lose it at the parks. I actually read somewhere about bringing his shot records, that would have his birthdate on it. Something to think about.

Just make a photocopy and leave the original records behind. ID theft generally requires a SS# and/or DL#.

Right. And a copy doesn't have a seal. There is very little harm in the birth certificate without a SSN or license number.

DS is very tall and sounds like he's older than he is when he talks. I always travel with his birth certificate (now his passport actually). We almost had to buy an extra airplane seat when he was 18 months (he told the gate lady he was 3 and she lamely believed him). We also got called on his age at 2 1/2 at Disneyland but the CM at the gate. It was worth it to not have to pay!

Ya, my boy is quite a talker too (his sister has taught him well). But I did teach him his age, he keeps saying I'm two, to everyone we see :) I guess it wont hurt to take his birth certificate.
