I was just on the DLR board, and there seems to be a policy at DL to limit PS (the same as WDW ADR) to parties of 4 or 6. We will have 9 people in WDW in Oct and I'm already planning on how to get our ADR's for Cindy's lunch - is there a limit to the party size they will allow in one group?
Does Cindy's have the 180 ADR time frame? My 2006 Unofficial Guide says 90, but I don't think that can be right. Does anyone have a sense if lunch is easier to get than breakfast? I'm nervous about it already, and we can't make an ADR until 4/16! Then again, I'm a worrying planner.....
Thanks!

There isnt a limit as far as I know however, the more people in your party the harder it will be to seat. Therefore, you really need to call as close to the 180 day mark to get what you want.
For example, for our next trip, we are bringing "the moms." We got an ADR for Le Cellier for lunch but they could not guarantee that we will sit together because of current seating availability. We were told to get there about 15 or 20 mins early to help improve our odds of sitting together. Otherwise, we will be split up into two groups.

Yes. Call in exactly at 180 days (or see my last comment below) and start calling in about 5 mins before Disney Dining opens. Keep trying over and over if necessary. I think with a larger group like yours, you might have to be a little more flexible in your dining times.
Keep in mind that if you are staying on site, you can make all your ADR's for the first 10 days of your trip 180 days from the day you check in. That little perk does provide you an edge.

I've been told that the "technical" limit for an ADR is 8, and anything over that has to go through the grand gathering department.
That said we often travel as a party of 9 (2 families) and have always made ADR's as a party of 5 and party of 4 and they note in the ADR that the tables should be together. While they don't guarantee that you'll all be together, the only place we've ever sat separately was Le Cellier.

If you will have nine people, and you will be staying at Disney Resorts, why not set up a Grand Gathering. It does not cost anything to do so. And you get special reservation numbers.
The big thing is there are certain events which are only available to Grand Gatherings. Here is a link (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/special/magicalgatherings/ggLandingPage?id=GrandGatheringsLandingPage) to Disney's site about GGs.

We went as a party of 9 in December and although some of our reservations were for a party of 4 and a party of 5, we were still seated together at each restaurant. We simply got there 10-15 mins early and left them know we preferred to sit together if possible. Never a problem, even at Le Cellier.

I know when we went with 17 last Febuary, I did get transfered when making my calls for ADR. I only made on ADR for all 17, but did make other ADR for smaller groups and never had a problem. When i called the regular number, 80% of the time that I called, they had to transfer me to another representative. I was making the ADRs two months before the trip, we had had to have the 4:00 or 4:30 for dinner for the full sitting of 17 and a group of 12.
