my spell check doesn't work and i could use all the help that it gives. Any chance that it is only me that it doesnt work on

The spell check service has been discontinued for quite some time. A good work around it to compose, the copy/paste to word or outlook to spell check. It is a pain to do this, but if your spelling is really challenging it is a good idea.

Of course, I should take my own advice more often.;)

It's been a while, so some history on the spell check.


The service that provided the spellchecking was discontinued quite a while ago. However, the hope has always been that a replacement would soon be found.

It is an onerous process to change the page templates for this message board, so rather than remove the spell check button and return it later we have chosen to leave it as it is.

Unfortunately, the alternative has not been quick to arrive. We apologize for any inconvenience, but eventually something will be there.

I am glad that Uncle Dick turned me on to OmniWeb for OS X. Great browser that includes built in spell check! :D
