Hi,
My family (Me, DH, DD 15 at time of trip, DD 12 at time of trip) would like to go to Paris in late June early July in the summer of 2009. We would like to spend some time in Paris itself and some time at Disneyland Resort Paris. My questions are....

-is this a good time to go?
-how much time should we plan on for each part of our trip? Is 4 days enough for each part? (DH and DD#1 are big time into museums so we do want to spend time at some)
-which should we do first? Paris the city or Disney?
-How hard is it to get from the airport to either Paris or Disney (that might determine which one we do first) and then how hard is it to get from one to the other?

Ok, I'm sure I have a ton more questions but I'll start with these.
Thanks for your help.

Hi there,
My daughter works at DLP and we may be able to answer you...

-is this a good time to go? Nope it's not... actually July is the busiest time of the year... Mid June is better for attendance and weather
-how much time should we plan on for each part of our trip? Is 4 days enough for each part? A week is Paris (Paris+ Disney) is a good timeline... 3 days on the resort, 4 days in Paris (yes it's that big for museums and shopping)
-which should we do first? Paris the city or Disney? Either... depends on the hotel occupancy and prices...
-How hard is it to get from the airport to either Paris or Disney (that might determine which one we do first) and then how hard is it to get from one to the other? So it's easy either way, from CDG or Orly, you get the subway to Paris and Disney, the cabs, the shuttles to Disney and some hotels in Paris...
From Disney and to, it's RER A, a fast subway train that takes from center Paris to the resort 40mins... so, really it depends on the hotels rates and occupancy then...
if you have any other questions, please ask away!
take care
David and family

Hey, thanks for the answers!!

We are still trying to decide when to go. Trying to work around the kids and DH school schedule so we may need to go at the end of June but might be able to move it to the end of August.

Sounds like we are planning on enough time to tour both the resort and the city.

What do you think about staying at the resort the whole time and taking day trips into the city, to see the sites?

Thanks again.

August will be busy too as English schools do not go back until the 1st week of September.

When we do longer trips to DLP we stay on site and catch the RER into the city to tour the sights. It is very easy to do and saves having to change hotels mid trip. I personally would just use DLP as a base if you plan on spending multiple days there.

I figure just like the parks here in the U.S , the Paris park will be busy most of the summer. We will just have to deal with it, I guess.

I think we will use DLP as our hotel base and go off from there, that is what DH wants to do anyway, so that sounds like a good plan.
