We will be first time visitors in april with our 4 year old daughter. Should we book a "theme park" view room at the Grand Floridian or the concierge Hawaii building at the Poly? I am trying to decide if the perks of the concierge will outweigh not being at the Grand Floridian. Does anyone have experience with either/both? Thanks:)

We have stayed at both CL levels and prefer the Poly. Both are wonderful resorts and have wonderful things to offer. Although we really love the theming and rooms at the Poly. You can get wonderful MK views at the Poly.. We have never had a bad view yet. The kids love the pool, resturants, and atmosphere at the Poly. You can't go wrong with either resort....they're both fantastic. :)

They're both posh and great. I think if I were choosing, though, I'd say Poly. It's so quiet and yet relaxed. I find GF a bit stuffy and if I were there with just my DH, then that would be fine. If I were there with my kids, I'd go Poly.

...Yup, I fully agree.
The GF is great, but too expensive for most folks (...and a bit 'stuffy' for young kids).
Of course, you can easily visit the GF from the Poly... enjoy the facility & restaurants.
Visiting the many deluxe Disney World hotels is a hidden benefit of staying in any of the DW hotels. There's a lot to see other than just the 4 major DW parks (...if you have the time). You're not stuck in just a single hotel environment, as is the case in many resort vacations.

My vote's for the Poly Concierge -- can't beat the view from the Lounge and Chef Dick makes the best stuff. I also enjoy the laid back atmosphere quite a bit more.
Transportation wise, there's also the ability to walk to the TTC as well as all the other great transportation options at both resorts.
Decisions, decisions! Guess you'll just have to make two trips to compare, huh?!
