Has anyone stayed here? Would you be willing to share your experience?

Saratoga Springs is our home DVC resort, and we stayed there last August, in a one-bedroom villa. The rooms are very nice, and we loved having the big jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, and living room. It is a large, spread out resort, but if you are located farther from the main pool, there are also quiet pools, and there are several bus stops. It was an easy walk to Downtown Disney (there is also a boat), which was nice when we had a dinner ressie at a hotel, because we could pick up a bus to that hotel, right from the Marketplace bus stop. I haven't used all the amenities, yet, but we will be staying there many more times, including a four-night stay in a two-bedroom villa in March. If you have more specific questions, let us know.

Thank you!!!

So, it has a dedicated bus just for that resort or you can pick up the bus at Downtown Disney?? Is that right?

How about dining at the resort?

My boyfriend and i have never stayed here but we were trying to get somewhere - possibly even downtown disney and so it was suggested that we change buses at Saratoga (we didn't know we could walk or boat) and we got very lost. It's like a maze - we thought we were never going to get out again! We managed it fortunatly and made our DR as well - just.

Each section has a bus stop. At these stops you can get a bus and go to any of the parks, Downtown or the Main Building. The boat is located at the main building behind the Turf Club Restaurant, go through the store down the hallway out the back and down the steps. The boats go to Dtd as well as the other hotels in that area with boat service- OKW, Swan/Dolphin...&? I forget who else. The captain will tell you which he will be going to, plus there is a flag system that will let you know if it is doing hotels or DtD ( I don't remember which is which but one is red and the other is green). If you want to get to another hotel you can bus or boat to DtD and take the bus from there.
I have stayed their twice and thought it was great, we will probably be staying there again this November/December. As far as the food goes I have not yet eaten in the Turf Club but friends who have eaten there thought it was very good. The food at the food court is good, nothing to over the top but very tasty- the lay out could use some work though...
