Hello~
I recently bought the Unofficial Guide, and love it! My question is, since I will be going to WDW with my 5 year old, do I need to get the Unoffical guide with kids? Is there any difference in the books?
Thanks!

Its really a matter of preference. If you have the one, the other might be good to have as a child's point of reference. But instead of buying it, see if you can get it from your local library. You may be able to pull out some good supplemental info out of it without having to buy it.
If then you think it would be a good point of reference, buy it.
Dont worry if the book is a year old or two. (We tend to get at least 2 years out of our guide book purchases.) The vast majority of the info in the book will still be good and most of it may be able to be confirmed with the UG that you already bought.
Hope that helps.

You might want to take a look at Birnbaum's Guide to Disney World with Kids (or whatever it's officially called). The reason I'm suggested that is the two authors give different opinions on things. The Unofficial Guide tends to be more on the "negative" side while the Birnbaum is more on the "positive" side.
Chiceking the books out in the library is an excellent idea. Since you have the Unofficial Guide, check out the regular Birnbaum's for a different feeling.

We got both books when we went last year with my 5 and 7 year old daughters. I found that the kids version helped out alot when explaining about the rides. I kept it in my backpack and while we were in line I would give the description so they would know what to expect. They were always a little nervous about the unexpected so the book came in very handy. One of my girls would always ask for me to show her the "scare factor" for the ride she was about to get on.
