Hello, everyone! This is my first post, and I hope I don't breach any rules of etiquette. I am planning a trip with my two daughters (ages 6 and 5) for March 30-April 5th (BTW, just how crowded do you think it will be?).
My dilemma is this: We will be arriving late afternoon/early evening on Sunday, and wanted to go to Epcot to get a few attractions and Illuminations under our belt because we will only have one other full day to devote to Epcot. We are not staying on Disney property. I did not want to pay $11 for parking for just a few hours. I was wondering if I would be able to park at the Boardwalk, and take the boat across to Epcot? Will this work?
My second question, along the same lines, is this: On Wednesday, we are going to the My Perfectly Princess tea party at the Grand Floridian from 10:30-noon. This time my aversion is not price as much as time, b/c I don't want to have to drive from GF's parking lot to the TTC, then take the monorail to the MK (where I plan to spend the rest of the day), when I could just zip right over on the monorail. Is there a time limit as to how long you can park at the resorts, or could I leave my car there and take the monorail to the MK, and back that night? Would the GF let me pay to park there longer, so when the day is done, I can just hop on the monorail back? Or is my best bet to just park at the TTC and take the monorail to the GF for tea so my car is already where it should be? Thanks to all you veteran travelers for any help or advice.

You can valet park for the day at the Grand Floridian, but it would be cheaper to park at the TTC and take the monorail over.

I'm not sure about parking at the Boardwalk for going to Epcot. I know there is free parking there for people going to the restaurants and entertainment there, but there might be a time limit on the free parking.

I think you are right that there is a time limit for parking while enjoying the different venue's at the hotel. Unfortunately, that limit is not clearly defined from what I can find. (Maybe someone else can chime in who has "been there, done that...")

Bradysmom01, I know people have parked at the resort hotels because they want to just ride a few rides and they are not staying all that long. However, I do not think that is generally an acceptable policy to do so. Im not suggesting anything either way but mentioning that as something to consider.

Being that you are going at what is expected to be a very busy time, you may even have difficulties parking at resort hotels unless you are a guest there or have an ADR or are scheduled for some other event / activitiy. (There are mixed stories about if they restrict parking at the hotels or not when it gets really, really busy.)
