New here, I have poked around reading about good times/bad times to visit the park. But one thing I am wondering about - how big does a convention have to be before it starts to make things miserable? We've got a 5 day (arr Wed - dep Mon) trip planned at the end of the month, and found out there is a 3 day (Tue-Thur) convention with an expected attendance of 45,000 scheduled for the Anaheim Convention Center that overlaps with the beginning (Wed, Thur) of our trip. We've got a bunch of littles and we just can't take much of a crowd. Last time we went the same week and it was very quiet during the week, picking up to barely tolerable over the weekend. Finding out about what looks to us to be an enormous convention is making us second guessing going at all. Second choice would be putting the trip off until April/May, which the reservation people tell me is busier than the time we are going now. Is it reasonable to expect they are taking into account this large convention when they say that? Also, do they add additional staff/increase operations, etc. when they are expecting a large convention, or are we going to be double whammied by large numbers of people and low season staffing?
I know you all must get sick of questions like this. I promise to report back on anything you want if you take pity on me and help me out! :D
TIA
