Is the Nestle Junior Chef cookie class only offered at certain times of the year? I have looked everywhere on the DL website and cannot find any information.

thanks!

What a bummer :(! I just mentioned in another thread how that was one of our favorite things to do, especially on a busy day.

Oh no, what is the Vice President of the corrupt HERE union going to do since he gave himself and all the other Junior Chefs the unnecessary and undeserving Pastry Chef pay rate?

When did the cancel them?

That is sad.

Our last trip (December 17-20, 2007) my little guy had a chance to do it, he had a lot of fun.

It was the first week of January, 2008, basically the end of Christmas break.

Well shoot! One grandson did it in Nov and I was thinking how much the others would enjoy it when we are done. Guess not.

I would bet that the new Pastry Chef pay rate had a lot to do with it... or maybe Nestle no longer wanted to "sponsor" the event.

It certainly was cute though, kind of a hidden gem of sorts.

3 staff members to entertain ~20 kids 4 times a day doesn't seem like a good use of space or manpower. It was fun while it lasted. My kids did it three times over the last year.

Don't forget the product, all the dough made by the kids was thrown away (or sent to Circle D for processing to animal food), and then they had to make cookies and package them in a proper approved kitchen, so it wasn't cheap, between the CM's that were making more than most entertainment CM's, and then the cost of the products (I presume the Chocolate Chips were provided for free...;).

I have to say the staff was really great with the kids though. I hope they find other jobs in the park.
