We are planning a trip to DLR in Late Sept./Early Oct. Last time we were there (April 2006) we took ART on one day and one day parked in the Disney parking and rode the tram. The tram was horrible. It was so crowded that we had to force people out of our way to get our stroller on and keep our kids together. ART was really great, but the day we rode it, the park wasn't that busy. I'm hoping the time of year we are going will be much less busy. So, are the trams always that busy? Or was it just because of a busy day? I am planning on taking ART because it was less stressful last time, but would like any opinions. That is the only time we have taken the tram or ART with our kids, so I don't know what they are regularly like.
Thanks!!

I have taken ART mostly to get to Disneyland on peak season, in the A.M its pretty decent but it's in the eve particularly when the park is closing its gets somewhat crowded and the wait is longer. But overall it is a pleasant experience.

Remember, there are less steps with ART than parking at Mickey and Friends.
The ART is pretty much walk to the bus stop, when the ART arrives, load up (such things like strollers), then let someone drive you to the park, unload and go thru security.
With Driving, walk to your car, load up the car, drive yourself to the parking lot, sometimes the wait to the toll booth can be over 15 minutes or even more, be sent to a parking space, park and then unload the car. Then walk to the Tram Stop, this can be a bit far depending on where you are sent to park. If you have a stroller, you could have a long wait for the elevator at medium to busy times.
The wait for the tram (another possible wait), then load up a second time onto the Tram, tke the tram, unload a second time, then go thru security.
Since ART only requires one wait (and your hotel front desk usually knows the time of the hour it is scheduled to pull up at the stop) and only one time loading, I think it is a much better choice than parking at Mickey and Friends.

Thanks for the information. You definitely helped reassure that ART is the way for us to go!
