We had planned a trip for 2/6-2/10 but had to change it to 1/30-2/3 because my nephews had a choir concert they had to attend. We were going to get a package through AAA and stay at LaQuinta but then I read the reviews and they weren't that great. So we were going to stay at Park Place Inn but it was getting more expensive and was making me a little sick to my stomach. I also couldn't quit thinking about it, but not in a good way. So, we finally decided to nix the AAA package and book it on our own. I finally started feeling better about it but was having a hard time with the hotel. I wanted to stay somewhere across the street but didn't want to sleep on a hard bed. I wanted to stay at Carousel but it was just a little on the high end. Then when I figured out how to put in the AAA rate, it brought it down to where we needed it to be. So I booked it! :D I am so happy. I now feel good about it. While I was fixing dinner I told my DH that I was about ready to cancel the trip. My 6 y.o. heard me and got very sad. Then he said, with a pucker lip, "Where's the phone? I'm calling my aunt and telling her we aren't going.:(" We had a hard time convincing him that I didn't mean it, I was just upset about it. Infact, he did end up calling her and told her DD. It was funny. But we are all set now. Now I just need to get the tickets and get ready to go. WooHoo! :p

Good for you! I always find choosing the hotel to be one of the most stressful parts of trip planning. :)

Finding the hotel can be fun (when you find a great deal) and stressfull (when you just don't feel right about it). I am glad your feeling good about it now :). Have a great trip!

I read here, that tickets purchased through getawaytoday.com have two early entries.

I think getawaytoday.com is packages, but I could be wrong. Another option is online at disney.com with the etickets.

Getawaytoday does have two early entry on their parkhoppers and you can just get the tix w/o a package. You will pick them up at any ticket counter when you get to the resort. I just did this over the holidays. It was great!

Do you have to stay at a Disney hotel or any good neighbor? That would be great. I think I'll look into it. :)

You can stay anywhere, since you're buying only tickets from them, it doesn't matter. You can order them right from their website. There is a $10 handling charge for the entire order (not per ticket), so it's still a great price with a great benefit!!!
I just stayed at the Carousel and really liked it!! We had the resort suite room and my parents had a single queen room. The best part was that the beds were very comfortable and the comforters were soft and cuddly. The staff was really nice.
Hope you enjoy your stay!!!

We decided to get the tickets from them. I was ordering them this morning and decided to call to see if I would get them in time (had forgot about how you get them). The girl told me to take something to the ticket booth and we'll get them at DL. I kind of thought that my e-mail would tell me exactly what to do, but it doesn't. So do I take a copy of the e-mail or the invoice from the website or does it matter? I don't want to get there and not have the right info.

You probably only need your ID and the card you used for payment. But go ahead print the invoice and the email as well -- it's only 2 sheets of paper and having them will give you peace of mind. :)

I agree that sometimes the worst part is making a decision about hotels, etc. We just made our plans for our visit in June and in the end we chose what we did last year - Disneyland Hotel. We have no children and don't travel much so we go for it when we make our annual visit. We have stayed at hotels nearby (Park Sheraton and Anaheim Hilton) but found that we had the best experience at one of the resort hotels. In the end, it's about the parks!

You are correct - all you really need is your ID - but I always bring the cc and copies of the invoice - just in case. ;) We have bought our tickets only via getawaytoday.com several times now and it is a piece of cake to pick them up at a Will Call booth at DL.
