We are going to Disney the week of February 17th thru the 23rd. We are from NY. Just wondering if any other states have school vacations that week? :)

I'm sure there will be many different answers. Here in CA it varies by school district. There is very little consistency between my younger son's elementary school, and my older son's middle school. So even within my family, my kids are on different schedules. Then there are private schools with different schedules than public schools, colleges, etc. Lots of things to consider. My guess is that it won't be as crowded as summer, but you'll still have crowds.

Arizona does, but since this is a WDW thread that probably won't affect you much. I have also heard that Washington and Oregon do too. I know that week at DL is turning crazy!

In Maryland, our public schools don't, they take their spring breaks after Easter. But we have tons of private schools that take their Spring breaks in February and break again for Easter.

I forgot to mention that in TN at least in KNox County, you are safe. We break in March.

Correct about Washington, we have school breaks in February during President's Day week. Our state is named after George Washington, after all!

Here in Sacramento, CA the schools are out all week and we will be there 2/16-2/23.

Most of the suburban NYC area has that week off.

Here in FL we only have Presiden't Day off so I'd think the weekend of 2/15-2/18 will be crowded.

A few years back my sister and I went that week - it was a little more crowded than it would have been the week before, but not bad. What we noticed that was a nice side effect, was that the MK had slightly longer hours, in anticipation of attendance.

Thanks Everyone. I appreciate it. Since we have never been I dont know really what to expect waiting wise for a ride anyway.

in our part of MD the kids have a long wekend over the 15th-18th weekend of Feb...

I think, in general, your best bet to avoid crowds @ WDW is to go and get out by/before Presidents Day weekend.

Our county has different breaks than the other counties - and of course the private schools all follow a different schedule.

In Texas some school districts have the holiday and others don't. The one my kids go to, they don't have any time off in February.

Our Schools in NJ vary, but most have off from the 14th which is a Thursday to the 18th which is a Monday. That may prompt enough folks to take a vacay...we went those dates one year, it wasn't too bad...not as bad as Columbus Day Weekend.

Parts of Southern Louisiana are off early in February this year (for Mardi Gras) - but because it moves around so much, it can fall near President's day.
