I usually get to Disneyland once every three years. We love going the first couple of weeks in December. Last time we stayed at the HOJO for 12 days for $129.00 a night Family of 4. Instead of getting the usual 7 day pass. I am considering getting a AP this year. Does anyone know if i would have trouble booking the Disneyland Hotel for 12 straight days? Any blockouts for early Dec? and what would be the average night stay? Has anybody bought an AP just to get a better rate at DH. Any help would be appreciated as always ;). Thanks

I have a Premium AP and I have paid as little as $129 per night at the Disneyland Hotel (this was in 2003) and I have paid as much as $333 per night (in 2007) when there was no special AP rate - just the standard AP 10% off rack rate.

If you call for your reservations early, you should have no problem booking for 12 nights. I would call at least 6 months in advance. They usually don't offer special AP rates until the month before, but if they do offer a special AP rate after you have made your reservations, you can always call back and they will adjust the rate for you. You don't have to give an AP number over the phone when you make your reservation, they just want to see the AP when you check in.

They released the AP4 rate for AP holders in the summer of 2007 which was good for early December dates. The lowest rate at PPH was $129 and the lowest at DLH was $139. Of course, 2008 may be entirely different!

Best of luck-- Suzanne
