Just curious as to the going rate one gets charged to park their vehicle at one of the Disney World Parks these days. Trying to see if its worth it to pony up the extra cost for an AP. Thanks in advance!

Current fees are, I believe:
$11.00 - Car/Taxi/Shuttle/Limousine/Motorcycle
$12.00 - Camper/Trailer $15.00

This does give you in-and-out privileges as well as "parking lot hopping" privileges between the parks for that day.

If you are a resort hotel guest, parking at the parks is free.

This may be a silly question, but if you're a resort guest do you still pay the 11.00 to park at the parks? We're staying at POFQ and wonder if renting a car would be "easier" than using the buses for we have two toddlers.

Okay, time for my silly question. Am I understanding this correctly -- if you take a taxi to the park, you have to pay the $11 parking fee, plus cab fare?

No, the taxi will drop you off with no parking fee.

A lot of people including me rent cars for WDW stays. I just don't like having to wait even 15 minutes for busses. And at the end of the day you can wait much longer for the privilege of standing shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of sweaty tired cranky strangers for your ride to your hotel. No thanks - I just jaunt out to my car and enjoy a leisurely short drive back to the hotel.

And not just because I like to play devil's advocate - I'm in the opposite camp. I like not having to 'deal' with the car thing - particularly after a nice meal involving alcohol, or when I need to read directional signs at night.

Since DME started, the only time I've had access to cars is when I was vacationing with others, and they had other off-site destinations involved (and I don't think I ever ended up riding in them!)
