Pros and cons? This is for a princess who will be turning 5 during the trip. Has anyone seen it and just loved it, or absolutely hated it? We're only going to do 5 days this next trip, so I want to make sure to narrow down the best of the best of what we haven't done yet!

Playhouse Disney is one of our favorite stops with our grandchildren (ages almost 2 & 4). Playhouse Disney is closed for refurbishment, including the replacement of the primary characters in the show, January 3 – 27. From the disney site:

just about the only complaint i've ever heard about it is that people were disappointed to find out they were all puppets (except for bear who is no longer anyway).

Honestly I wouldn't bother going if you're going to see the old show.

The characters in it aren't really even on TV anymore (Stanley?). We went with younger kids (3 and 18 months, not my 9 and 5) and they weren't sure who Bear, JoJo and Stanley even were.

The revised show sounds great, I'll have to drag some little kids with me again so I can go see it. ;)

She's going to love this show! She watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (she gets up and dances, answers the tv, tries to "help", and she likes Little Einsteins a lot, too.

Is there any chance there will be a "soft opening" before official dates? My little one would be thrilled!

Does anyone know if Stanley, and more importantly, JoJo will still be in the new show? I can definitely attest that both are still on TV (Disney Channel 290 on DirecTV) every weekday morning. JoJo is airing new episodes. I watch them every day with mini-person at 6am and 6:30am before I leave for work and take him to daycare. JoJo is the love of his life.

Stanley probably won't. Despite still somewhat hanging on the Disney Channel, many people actually have no idea who he is nowadays. He no longer appears at the parks either.

I don't know about Jojo. I'd suspect she will stick around. She still does meet & greets and is part of the play'n'dine meal. I also suspect Pooh may stay as part of my friends tigger & pooh

I hope Pooh is still part of Playhouse Disney live on stage
