hello! i was just wondering what holiday (that school is off) is the best time to go to DL because of the lack of visitors? thanks!

Just going by memory ...

January is an off-month EXCEPT for the first week, of course.
MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY weekend is crowded. So that's two periods in January to beware.

Upcoming, February is an off-month EXCEPT for PRESIDENTS DAY weekend, of course.

March-April, is still off-months, but beware of SPRING BREAK ("EASTER VACATION").

I don't think those 2 things go together, school out and DL not being busy. I think any time that school is out, DL is busy, unless you are on year round. I would probably have to say the beginning of June, if your school district is out then, would be your best bet. During the school year the best time would be to take your kids out of school, which may or may not be an option depending on the age of your kids. Otherwise, if you go on a holiday, just be prepared for the crowds and do what you can.
