Its been many years since we have been to WDW (now living on the west coast of the country) so.....Where is the Cross Roads Shopping Center located in relation to Downtown Disney shops? Can you walk to it from DTD or do you need a car? I understand from my "reading" there are many restaurants there.... Info please and thanks!

It's further down the road - about a mile I'd guess. You can walk, if you don't mind the distance. There are sidewalks most of the way, but then you'll have a very busy and very wide road to get across without getting hit! Be careful. Honestly, I can't think of a reason to go over there when there are so many great places to eat right inside WDW.

Thanks Sue! I think we will skip playing "Frogger" trying to get to Crossroads and rent a car for a couple of days to get some shopping outside of WDW. We will be there for 9 days!

Lori,

If you have a car, you'll probably want to visit the Disney Character Premiere store at Premium Outlets. There's a Bahama Breeze right on the corner of that road, and it's a good choice for an off-site meal. They have a website, so you can check out the menu. It's a nice but casual place - good food, good drinks, and VERY popular. If you show up at 6:30-7 for dinner you'll have a long wait. But, if you can do a late lunch, early dinner - you'll get in & out much faster. The onion rings are to die for - not like any other onion rings I've found anywhere! It's reasonably priced, too.

Thanks Sue for the extra info!! I have been to the Bahama Breeze in Atlanta and I must say, between their GREAT fruity drinks (alcohol intended) and the Jerk Chicken...YUM....that would definitely be a great choice off-site. Thanks also for the heads up on the Outlet shopping!;)
