Im new here so please bear with me as I try this out for the first time. I totally love all the advice given here so Im giving this a shot and hopefully can get some decisions made soon. Been to Walt Disney around 6 times in all with the last trip last February for my daughters finance send off to Iraq. Last minute throw together vacation but went well, after all we were saying good bye. This time just adults Anniversary vacation. ya hooo..Ok so now my questions. I currently have a Pop Century reservation for 9 days the last week in June of this year. But after thinking about it Im not sure this is the spot for us. My husband has a breathing machine he has to use at night and sounds like a bird sitting on your shoulder whistling all night in your ears, so I know we need 2 connecting rooms OR a Music family suite? I heard Pop was the best by far but with lots of neighbor noise and have to rent frig. with fast and good bus service. On the other hand the suites have frig., coffee makers( have to have, lol) microwave. But very slow bus service and not as new. Both do come out to be about the same price. So any advice on this issue would be great. Also, what Dr. documents do we need to show we need a frig. free for husbands meds for asthma and breathing machine? I assume they dont just take your word for it. Have more questions but cant think right now to ask. lol.. Thanks in advance:)

As far as the fridge goes for a Moderate, just get a doctors note. We needed a fridge for my son as he is allergic to milk and needs his own from the store. My peditrician just wrote on a prescription paper he needed his own type of milk due to an allergy and could we get a fridge. I stated this in my reservation and they put one in my room. I showed them the note and they said okay we believed you anyway. :) We were not charged either for the fridge. Hope this helps a little.

For a moderate, the refrigerators are included in the room already, so don't need anything. I believe that applies to the family suite as well. I've never heard of any one needing a doctor's note to get the refrigerator for medicine, they do really just believe you. I don't know if you can get a coffee maker on request at Pop or not (I haven't ever stayed there with a coffee drinker), but I'm pretty sure they're not standard equipment.

As far as Pop and 2 rooms, or the family suites - personally I'd do Pop. There are NEVER discounts available for the family suites (except maybe AAA), and I believe it's more expensive than 2 rooms at the same resort. So in case a discount code came out that you could apply, it'd be much better to be at Pop then in the family suite. But I wouldn't hold my breath for a discount coming out for the last week in June.

Are the 2 rooms for you and your husband? (you said adults only anniversary trip). You probably won't be guaranteed connecting rooms, because generally they reserve those for 1 or 2 adults with young kids (particularly families with 3 kids or more). You MIGHT be able to get adjoining rooms, but that means going outside to get between rooms. If it is just the two of you, would being able to take advantage of the 2nd bed in the room be enough to save your sleep?

Thanks much for the replies. We HAVE to be in seperate rooms at night( not by choice trust me) his breathing machine is so loud I have even used ear plugs and that doesent work. I know the Music family suites would work out ok but im worried about wasted time on the bus system that serves all the values except Pop. And wait times for June. We have to go in June I cant get around that. So Im at a loss as what to do. Getting 2 moderates room is way to expensive for the time of year we are going. I totally wish we could afford a 1 bedroom villa that would be so cool and end of my resort issue. Anymore input would be great.:) Thanks

Given your constraints, I don't think I'd worry too much about the bus service being the item that keeps you from the Suites. They DO run more buses when it's busy, and you don't always share with the other two All-Stars.

But if you're considering this June, you might not be able to get the All-Star suites. I'd call as soon as you can to check on that.

And something to consider (and hopefully not be a deal-breaker for you!) - is that the beds in the living room part of the family suite are all fold-outs. For 9 days, that might be a deal-breaker for me.

I HATE to say this - but have you considered going a shorter time so you could do a 1 bedroom villa? Also, are you sure his machine is working correctly? Might be worth it to go into a place that sells them and have them turn one on so you can verify your husband's isn't any louder than the model, and if it is, get his serviced/replaced. (That'd be a heck of a lot better than cutting your vacation short!)

Thanks Cathy, and yes his machine is working good so they say. But he went to surgion today and said he could get surgery to remove his tonsils and pallets in his throat and MIGHT be able to get rid of his machine. But the recovery is 3 weeks and horribly painful so as a typical male he might not do it. If he does, then we can stay in 1 room at Pop or maybe even up grade to the mods. Oh my gosh that would be great. It gets soooo expensive to always have to get 2 rooms when we travel which is often. Other question I have is, which resort have the best and coolest room air conditioner? I have to have it on 65' all year even in snowy Michigan as I get hot flashes and dont do real well in extreme heat.. Thanks again...:)

I don't want to be negative, but Orlando the last week of June is extreme heat.
The first part of June is right on the border of doable for me and I live in a hot humid place and spend time outside at home to kind of acclimate myself.
