Need help with were to stay? We are a family of 4 (kids 13 and 9). We have always stayed in the deluxe resorts (Animal and Wilderness) and are looking for a new experience. We love the bunk bed idea the oldest refuses to sleep with the younger one, but now he is almost 5'7" and is too big for the bunk beds in the resorts. So where would you recommend so they don’t share a bed but long enough for (almost taller than me) child. We are open to all resorts, just don’t know what would be good for kids this age. Thanks for any advice in advance.

maybe he'd agree to sleep with his brother if he spent a night or two on the floor in a sleeping bag?!?!?!?!;)
Perhaps you may have to spring for a second room at a deluxe, or get two rooms at a moderate.......

You can try a family suite at ASMu (http://www.mousesavers.com/allstarmusicsuites.html). You can also get a room at POR that has a trundle bed if your 9 year old is on the shorter side.
I believe there are some junior suites at WL that has 2 beds and a pullout, if my memory serves me right.

My son was taller than 5'7" and did just fine in the bunk. So did his father, who is almost 5'11". Bottom line - you're paying for the vacation, so he can "make do". Either sleep with his brother or bend his knees a bit to fit on the bunk comfortably. I wouldn't bother packing a sleeping bag, lol - but I'd offer him the floor and a blanket.
Some of the deluxe resorts have daybeds, but they're smaller than the bunks. I wouldn't pay for a 2nd room unless it's what YOU & your hubby want...for privacy from the kids. Another option - give the kid the option to skip the trip and maybe go next time :~D

We are travelling with a family of 4 who also requires 3 beds...the boy is a very restless sleeper! I chatted online with a cast member who recommended the following resorts for our vacation because each one offers rooms with 2 queen beds and a daybed:
Contemporary
Polynesian
Gand Floridian
Beach/Yacht/Boardwalk
Hope that opens up some options for you!

Careful with the daybeds, as I don't think they're quite full length -- that being said, my 5'8" daughter sleeps on one.
If at PO-R with the child trundle, I used to throw the teeny-tiny mattress on the floor on a sheet I'd take. This could also work with the bunks - it's certainly more comfortable than being confined by a bedframe.

The day beds at both the Poly and BC are quite good sized. My dd who is 5' 10" had no problem being comfortable in either resort. :)
