I received an email from an Amazon about a new WDW guidebook that will be released this week. It's from the "Little Black Book" series of travel guides, which I have never heard of. Since it's brand new there is no information available about the guide and I'm wondering if anyone here knows anything about them.

We are total WDW newbies, so we are looking for as much information (and from as many different perspectives) as we can get for our upcoming trip - August of next year. Do you think this guide might be a wise purchase?

FYI - we already have the 2008 editions of Birnbaum's and The Unofficial Guide, but we love reading different guidebooks and, like I said, the more information we have the better!

Thanks in advance for any help, guys! :)

Missed my edit window and I just found a typo - that should read "an email from Amazon", not an Amazon.

I have never heard of them either. Between the OG and UG you should have most bases covered. Another really good series is the Passporter books; they concentrate on Disney.

Check your local library for Disney books. The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2008 is my favorite. You can find most everything online, too. This is a good site to find WDW links:

I am planning a trip in May 08 and was actually looking at that book yesterdayin Barnes & Noble. The title and cover were enticing, but when I thumbed through it, I didn't get that excited. I have the Birnbaum's 2008 for adults and the one for kids and I loooooove them! I agree about The PassPorter's book too, I may go back and get it.

Passporter books are handy because there are pages you can personalize with info about your trip. The pages are also pockets that can hold tickets and other info you want to keep. It's fun to pull out the Passporter book from previous trips to see your comments about rides, meals, etc.
