The pressure for Michael Eisner to step down is heating up in the wake of a revelation that the Walt Disney Company broke New York Stock Exchange guidelines by giving jobs to the family members of three directors.
A major change in its board of directors is expected soon.
"Mr Eisner has suffered repeated jibes about the make-up of the board, which critics say lacks independence. The Mickey Mouse house has seen its shares sent to an eight-year low, buffeted by falling sales and talk of a boardroom rift. Audience levels at Disney's ABC television network have fallen sharply."
