I have been to WDW many times but never in December. Do they decorate all of the parks? Do they have special holiday overlay of the rides like they do at Small World and Haunted Mansion in Disneyland? I'm a So. Ca. native and AP holder to Disneyland. I love Dland at Christmastime and just wondered if it would be worth it to go to WDW, too?

I have never seen any holiday overlays on rides, but they do decorate the parks .
Some of the decorations are fairly spectacular.
I especially like the lights on Main Street and in Epcot.

We were there in early January this year and they still had quite a number of the decorations up. Everything looked very pretty. They don't have ride overlays though, and they've been ticked off about about getting HMH since we've had it. It was fun to wear my HMH t-shirts and troll. :)

Half the fun in December is visting the parks and resorts that have up all the decorations. Some of our favorite resort decorations are WL, GF, and AKL. We take advantage of MVMCP at MK and the Osborne Lights at DHS. There is also Christmas Around the World at Epcot.

BlewByYou - Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Osborne Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which is Disney/MGM's new name.
Acronyms are a good thing but not when people can't understand them.

The Osborne Lights is basically the whole back area of MGM all lit up and they play Christmas music and have fake snow and every few songs, the lights all dance to the music. I find it quite magical! The MVMCP is a special ticket event at MK, with a parade, fireworks and shows, all Christmasy and cocoa and cookies. You can get the parade, fireworks and shows with regular park admission the week of Christmas. The Lights of Winter at Epcot is a series of arches that light up to Christmas music, much more peaceful and low-key (but still just as wonderful) than the Osborne Lights, and they also have a special holiday ending to the Epcot fireworks. Also at Epcot, Holiday storytellers at each country, and the Candlelight Processional. There is a Christmas parade at Animal Kingdom. And all the parks and resorts are decorated beautifully. Christmas at WDW is fabulous!!!!!!!
