Celebrity Sightings in Disneyland

Ok--who are Sophia Grace and Rosie?Sophia Grace is an 8yo and Rosie is her 5yo cousin, from Essex England. Their folks put some videos up on YouTube.com and Ellen D fell in love (and so has most of the US.) I find their enthusiasm so enjoyable. They LOVE cotton candy. I loved when they were in Disneyland with I think a princess and they spotted a cotton candy vendor.

That was funny when they spotted the Cotton Candy. I liked when she was going down to see Ariel and said "Is this Florida?" She is funny. She sure has a set of pipes on her!

So I am traveling in Northern California on business today and while watching Good Day Sacramento this morning they had a news report from OMDD festivities. The reporter told the audience that they were going to be filming scenes for the show Modern Family today at DLR. He had said that the studio trailers were parked in the same backstage area that the news vans were parked.

Just curious, anyone see any filming today?

The reporter told the audience that they were going to be filming scenes for the show Modern Family today at DLR. He had said that the studio trailers were parked in the same backstage area that the news vans were parked.

Wow, who okayed that? It seems like today would be an especially poor choice.

Thanks for the greeting but I'm actually working in Truckee. Got pounded by snow today instead enjoying OMDD like I wanted :(. Oh well maybe in four years I'll get to do it, I hope.

Saw Ariel Winter (Alex on Modern Family) walking around with a Disney tour guide in DCA after the filming. We saw the filming areas set up/roped off in various locations yesterday, but she was the only actor I actually saw.

Filming Modern Family on a special event day where they were anticipating crowds and hitting capacity?? TERRIBLE IDEA. Throughout the day, parts of the park were blocked off for the filming, which made a crowded day even more difficult. Crazy times!

We saw Modern Family filming today around 10am between the end of Main St and the Partners Statue. We saw all of the Dunphys and Ed O'Neill. We we left the park about 4 hours earlier, we saw some guys carrying camera equipment up Main St, and we thought it was the local news, but it must have been the crew. The funny thing is, they shoot another show about a block from our house, and we know the crew can spend hours moving equipment, but because the park was still open until 6am (and they weren't exactly throwing us out at 6), the crew couldn't come in as early as they would have on any other day.

My sister and I sat for an hour from 5am - 6am at Jolly Holiday watching the sunrise, so we went back, sat at the same table, and decided to replicate the pictures we took in daylight. We couldn't get to one location because of the filming, but we sat at watched for about 20 minutes. I felt a little bad for the CM who had to keep traffic moving towards Adventureland. Anyway, I didn't take any pictures, but if my sister did I'll post :)

We saw them set up very early on Wednesday morning by the Rivers of America, later in the day by the Golden Horseshoe, and then we saw them leaving the park in the afternoon. During the time they were filming, the park wasn't actually all that crowded. It didn't get crowded until the evening, and the filming crew was gone by then. They were back filming on Thursday.
