So maybe a silly question but we are there on 12/16 and are on the DDP through Christmas. Anyways, the Holiday Surcharges go into effect 12/16 through 1/5.

Does anyone know if the Holiday Surcharges have any effect on things if you are on the DDP? I would think nothing would be affected but one never knows. Did anyone go through this at Thanksgiving, what happened.

Thanks -

Yep, we were there for the Thanksgiving upcharge. The check they give you to approve is higher however the DP covered it anyways. We had our son who is living down there join us for a few meals and those meals were way pricey and an auto 18% tip on the higher priced meal for a party of 3. Ouch. If you are all on the DP you're safe.

How much is the surcharge? This is somewhat new news to me. It also gives me somthing to consider along the lines of DDP vs no DDP for future holiday trips.

This was posted on All Ears as far as prices are concerned....doesn't look like it applies to all restaurants, just those listed below:

Prices will be higher at the following restaurants: Boma Breakfast and Dinner, Cape May Breakfast and Dinner Buffet, Chef Mickey's Breakfast and Dinner, Trails End Buffet, 1900 Park Fare Breakfast and Dinner, 'Ohana Breakfast and Dinner, Yacht Club Galley Breakfast Buffet, Tusker House, Garden Grill, Princess Storybook Dining, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Play 'n' Dine at Hollywood and Vine.
