I will be traveling with family of six from DTD Doubletree Hotel to HDDR at FW. We will have a rental car. Is it best to drive to FW and take internal bus to HDDR or park at DTD, take bus to FW, and then to HDDR?

I would suggest parking at FW - there's always plenty of parking at the front, and then you don't have to worry about bus transfers and such. There are three different bus routes in FW, Purple, Yellow and Orange. To get to Pioneer Hall, which is where the Hoop Dee Doo is located, you can take any of them; just get off at the Settlement Depot. I would also suggest, especially if you have never been to Fort Wilderness to get there early and just walk around a bit. It's absolutely beautiful at dusk and there is much to see and explore!

Or you can take a boat launch from the Magic Kingdom to Ft. Wilderness... The Ft. W boat dock is right by Pioneer Hall...
