I loved the food on board the Magic. I figured it would be a good idea to have a DCL food thread.

Feel free to talk about any food dish or food theme that you liked while onboard one of the Disney ships.

I choose to talk about the Chocolate soufle (sp?) I had at Palo's. It was delicious. It was baked to perfection. The waitress poked a hole in the top of it an poured a rich chocolate and a rich vanilla sauce in the hole. It was wonderful. Yum.

I had the chocolate/vanilla souffle at Palo as well and was equally impressed with it. That was definitely my favorite of the desserts on the cruise.

Did you try the champaigne brunch at Palo? That was by far our favorite overall meal on the cruise. The brunch was a combination buffet and table-service, with pastries, fruits and mellons, cheese, cold cuts, seafood (shrimp and crablegs), cold cereal, desserts, etc. all served buffet-style and hot entrees and drinks served by a waiter or waitress.

That brunch was certainly the largest quantity of food that I ate at any single meal on the cruise. Even before getting the hot entrees, I had already had a very full plate of food from the buffet. When the waiter came to take our orders, I started briefly debating between the beef tenderloin or an omlette. On a cruise, it is dangerous to debate about food choices out loud, because the waiter insisted that I was going to have both... :) Both entrees were absolutely great (and I did manage to pretty much finish them both...), but I was way over-full by the time we left that meal.

Even though it was an extra $10 per person, it was more than worth it. A similar quality meal on land would certainly cost $40-$50 per person at least...

I didn't even know about the brunch at Palo's. That sounds great.

I loved the Asian Buffet they had for lunch one day at Parrot Cay. That was very tasty. They also had Mongolian B-B-Q at the Asian Buffet.

I too thought the Chocolate Souffle was the BEST of the cruise. It was so chocolaty decadent!!:D

Other than that...on the Disney Magic, I thought the food was just so-so. I hear sooo much about how cruise food is the best...and I was disappointed...other than Paolo's souffle.
I did enjoy Animator's Pallet's dessert offering though. I thought it was clever to have the pallet of different colors and flavors of dessert. :D

The Magic also had a midnight dessert buffet. It was great. They had some wonderful desserts, both with chocolate and without. All I ever ask for is sugar, sugar, and more sugar. Is that too much to ask for?

Why do I have a feeling your breakfast cereals are all full of sugar? :D

Is there any other kind?:D

Since we're on the subject of breakfast, in the Topsider Buffet they had all sorts of sugur pastries (Donuts, etc.). Although all of their food was good.
