How come the matterhorn was never built at WDW? Was there a possibility of it having being built in the past? Disneyland has one more rollercoaster than we do!!!! Not Fair!!!!

If you people in Florida think you have it bad ,you have not been to Disney California Adventure ,it makes Disney's Animal Kingdom look Great.:p

After years of going to WDW I went to Disneyland last year. I was very disapointed. Rocket Rods was broken. POTC was closed for repairs. Indy was broken down as usual. And that sailboat that killed someone was just moored at a dock. There lines about an hour long for Everything. Plus WDW has tons more rides. But I hope PM deals with some of this. TL looked like a dump!! (No offense=) There was trash everywhere. The only thing that was clean was the parking lot. Please don't take this note personally. But because DL is closer to the city it is more crowded than WDW.

LOL, you have seen the light! (or lack of it due to broken bulbs) now you know why DL is such a hot topic because it has really turned into a third world park! My new slogan, "Who needs a third park when we ALREADY have a THIRD WORLD park, Disneyland!"

Dear Mr. D,

I like your Idea. But Honestly DL needs more than a couple of paint jobs. I' don't know does DL have Fast Pass??? They have to make rides that don't break down as often. When I was there they were replacing the lift belt of something on POTC. These people were stuck in RR baking. Don't get me started on Indy.

   I've seen the broken light.

Part of the problems at DL is that these rides are old while WDW was designed and built with what was first built at DL so WDW has a better substructure for maintenance. Did you know that basically all of the Majic Kingdom at WDW is actually a second level? There is very little of it at DL at POTC and Indy. Sometimes I think the cure for DL is to shut it down completely and dedicate a 60 day overhaul of ALL of the park, earmark 1 Billion to update EVERYTHING and shelve any new park, third park or DCA expansion for two years, and the best window would be the two months after school starts in fall say from mid sept. to mid nov. Basically work unimpeded with no guests and during daytime hours with full crews and outside labor, put paintbrushes in the hands of all the CM's so most will not be out of work, shift the rest over to DCA let that park take the load for awhile, if people are unhappy comp them free passes to WDW (airfares not included but may have special discounts) explain to the world its all for them to make the happiest place on earth the best it can be.

That's true, but can you count DCA as a theme park?

WDW does have a matterhorn, you just don't recognize it. It's called Space Mountain.

Space Mtn went over so well, they did an original design of it for Disneyland (because you can't have two rides with the same track layout in one park). Thats why WDW has in-a-row seating (like the matterhorn) and Disneyland has side by side seating.

Once upon a time, EPCOT was planning a Swiss pavilion, with a Matterhorn as a backdrop. Later, when that folded, a Mt. Fuji was planned for the Japan pavilion, also another Matterhorn knock off. Obviously, none of this ever happened.

Disneyland's rides aren't down that often! You must have went around 1998 when Tomorrowland reopened and everything was still being adjusted.

I believe that the Magic Kingdom didn't get a Matterhorn and instead got Space Mountain because it rains alot in Florida and Disney didn't want to open an outdoor roller coaster that would be closed due to rain. Which would you guys have prefered getting, Space Mountain or the Matterhorn?

the reason why WDW dosn't have the Materhon is cause Roy wanted it to be diferent from the original. thats why the MK has mickeys toon town fair. instead of DL's toon town.

WDW has more parks cause it was supost to attract people from other places including California, while DL atteacts people from Fl also.
