I finally got caught up! We just got a new laptop for me, becasue my husband is always on his working! The nerve of him! Now I can go online any time I wish! What a great story, I'm sure you all will have a great time! Can't wait to hear all about it!!!!

well, it started this morning - my husbands corny jokes:(....he says I look tired, and that "maybe he should take me on a vacation"...

T-Minus 2 days now. Today is "take the dogs to the vet day for a wash & trim so they dont' stink so bad". tomorrow is, as of 4:30 pm - "whew...it's all downhill from here" day!

yep - I'm gonna write a trip report. We decided NOT to take the computer with us, we are going to try to "de-plug" as much as possible, so it will be when we get back.

ha ha...I'm actually very, very busy.
#1 I'm organizing a big pasta dinner for 300 as a school fundraiser - so I am in the midst of soliciting donations for the silent auction and dealing with the details of that.
#2 Got a big bid going in at work a few days after we get back, so I am trying to tie up those loose ends...and I'm working on O&M's for another job which is a hateful, hateful chore! Did I mention I just had to deal with OSHA at WWTP we are building? No penalties!
#3 Sending my brother along with 9 of our superintendents & foreman to the World of Concrete convention in Vegas next week - so I'm getting all the credentials & travel itinerarys, flight info & reservations together for our group of 10. They'll be gone while I am gone, so I'm hoping I crossed all my T's so-to-speak. Glad I was a travel agent in another life!
#4 house is a mess & laundry needs to be done, so I've got that to look forward to this evening:(

I'd actually prefer to be busy busy - plus it makes "relaxing" on vacation all that much better! What is really vexing me is while we are supposed to leave for the airport around 12:30 on Friday afternoon, Eric was gonna work a 1/2 day. I was gonna clean up the kitchen - clean up the boys;), finish up up the barn (gotta pony mare who is due to foal in 2-4 weeks - surprise baby -) and make sure the dogs haven't drug in anything dead to the garage. BUT he decided to take off the morning...so now I have to work around him!!!!! He'll be in my way:mad:

I'm working towards tomorrow afternoon @ 4:30. I'll leave the office and that will feel good! Which reminds me, I had better clean up my desk.

ahhh.... can i say how nice it is to finally be able to post on this thread and know that everything is a "for sure" !! :D

We are bringing our 6yr and (will be) 1yr... for their first trip! Our first official family vacation..

When I left in 2003, I swore that I would never go back in August (too much rain and too hot!). But my son was homeschooled at the time. Now not only will we return in the summer, but we will be arriving 5 years to the day that we got there last time! That will be on the 17th of August. 213 days from now!

BTW, how can I get a countdown clock to put in my signature. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
