I have been in DP two times (95 & 97), and it was a great experience!
If you have been in DP, what do you think is the pro and contras about the park?

I went to DLP in March.
I have been to three "Magic Kindom"s...WDW, Disneyland and now DLP. Of the three that I have been to, DLP is by far the most beautiful of the them. The park is gorgeous...and Sleeping Beauty's Castle is a dream. Absolutely wonderfully, beautiful. The dragon in the dungeon is the best thing in the park. Too bad Disneyland doesn't have one...
The whole park layout is great...with great wide walkways and wondeful queing areas.
The que for Phantom Manor was great....as was The Pirates of the Caribbean.
I enjoyed the MainStreet USA inside Arcades for walking. Really gave that "turn of the century" feel to the area.
And details, details, details everywhere through out the park.
The negative...trash and gum. Everywhere...trash and gum. The do not keep this beautiful park as clean as ours here in the good ol' USA. Gum covered the ground, the walls, just about everywhere. And, with the French being the way they are, they do not has designated smoking areas...so you can guess...they smoke EVERYWHERE...they even lit up on some rides...even though they shouldn't. (that's ok...if their cell phone rang and they were on a ride...they answer it and talk through the whole ride too!!!). They also don't keep up with the trash around the park. But, I found the gum more annoying than the trash.
You know what's weird...we didn't see one kid wearing Mickey Mouse ears...not one. It even took us a while to find them in a store. They are not promintly displayed like here in the US...I guess European kids are not into them as much as we are.
Beautiful park...if ever you are lucky enough to go...go. You will not be sorry for the experience. This is a beautiful park...Disney did well...and did not spare any expense when building this park.:D

DLP is Beautiful, The Castle is spectacular, The layout and scale of the park are just perfect to me. The lands are very distinct and seperate, the detail amazing. It's a shame this was the Park the Eisener built and got burned on - that seemed to set the tone for the parks to come. I also agree with everything that Mad4Mky said.
While I love the original, I also was very jealous of DLP. They did this park right.
As to the negative, yes there are more smokers, more gum, and more trash (or rather the trash accumulates a bit more in the queues). However, while I've seen complains from others about the CMs there, I experienced nothing but the firendly service I've always had here at the original DL.
There are attraction differences, their Indy doesn't compare to ours, but their Space Mountain (and Discoveryland as a whole) is just awsome.
There are also some cultural things to get used to, the continetal europeans don't que as orderly as we Americans or the Brits might (But I'm a quick learner and a big guy, so I can play too
;) ). There is less sense of modesty, so we did see some folks try on clothes without the use of a dressing room, or mixed genders in the gender specific bathrooms. But that's more about Europe than DLP (and besdies make for great stories when you return).
Its also very odd but very cool to be standing in a line where every other group is speaking yet another language. Also it's very cool to hear my last name pronouced correctly without any coaching. And while there were no problems with language, it was much fun and quite charming to trade pins with people who didn't know english.
So I'm sold on the Park (Parc) and am ready to see it again. I hear their Halloween celebration is pretty cool...
