I'm sure I'll get some good answers from this group. I'm planning to g to Jellyrolls in the Boardwalk after Epcot closes during my visit in January. I am trying to figure out the best way to get back to POFQ from there around midnight or 12:30 at the latest. Any ideas? It is really close on the map but will not have a car.

Can I get to DD that late yet?

I'm not sure how late you can get a bus to DTD - but I think you could, still. Just go to the front of the Boardwalk hotel, or it might be closer to go to the Swan or Dolphin.

Personally, after a night of 'entertainment' - I'd just grab a cab. It's not a spendy trip to POR.

if you dont want to spend any money, DD buses run until 2 a.m. and then just get on a boat to POFQ from DD. but that might take almost hal an hour to 45 mins, so i would take a cab.

Unless it's a EMH night at Epcot, then you can go through epcot and get on a bus directly to POFQ, resort buses run and hour after the park closes. EMH at epcot closes at midnight. or if mgm has the EMH, you can get on a bus to POFQ from there.

However, if it IS EMH evening at Epcot, I don't think they'll let you INTO the park after midnight, so you'd have to watch the clock, and budget your time to get to the International Gateway appropriately.

I doubt if the evening EMHs at the Studios will be going until midnight in January - it closes relatively early in the off-season.

...I checked the EMH for MGM and Epcot - no evening EMH the night I am going at either. If the buses still go to Downtown Disney that late, I'd be happy to take them.

I'd still take a cab home--MUCH less hassle.

The buses do indeed run until 2am; iifc even to Port Orleans (it seems to me the boats shut down around 10). I would also point out, at least in my experience, that it's very difficult to be completely stranded at WDW. I've gotten myself in a few strange pickles over the years, and even when I have been seemingly stranded at one hotel trying to get to another, security has driven me home. I'm the ultimate cheapskate (it comes with being a college student, lol) and so even if it takes longer I would go with the free option. Plus, it's a kind of Disney adventure!

And yes, I have been one to simply climb on a bus without looking where it's going just to see where I end up. It's really fun!

Thanks Chris,

Good to know that the buses do go until 2:00pm - sounds like a good option. I'm always up for an adventure (and saving money) and generally really like the Disney transportation system. I'll let you know how it works!

PS. I like your idea of an anonymous bus ride. One one of my non-park days I think I am going to do the 'next bus that comes' ride and see where that takes me and go on from there.
