I know this was asked and now I can't find the thread. The online $10 AP discount that Disney is offering through www.disneyland.com/westways (http://www.disneyland.com/westways) is NOT available in the park by showing your card. I tried it this week, we had a ton of Disney $$ from my DD birthday to get her (Very First!) pass with and I could not use those online, I tried to get it in the park and they said nope, online only.

I'm not the expert here but it sounds like you are talking about two different things.
1. A 10 dollar discount.
2. Using Disney Dollars.
I can understand not being able to use Disney Dollars online. I mean, how can you transfer Disney Dollars online. Not the same as using plastic.

No, no, no. I am talking about the AAA online discount. I have AAA...
The discount is only available online, I wanted the discount but could not use my Disney $$ online so I had to buy my AP at the park, SO...
When I bought it in thr park, I asked if they were giving the discount in the park as they did last year with AAA, but she said no.
I was only throwing in the part about the $$ because I know someone's first response would be, duh - why didn't I just buy it online?
Someone else had asked in another thread about the AAA discount and if it was online only or if they were doing it in the park again this year. I was just passing along the answer I got in the park.

Another option would have been to buy it online, then cash in the Disney DOllars at the park and reimburse yourself.

I have done this in the past with no problem, but I tried to do it a few months ago and they said they could only do it if I had the receipt. They were gifts, so of course I did not have the receipt, and they refused to cash them. Maybe that was a fluke? I always though it was a one to one exchange regardless of where or when you bought them, but this CM in City Hall would not do it for me. I think it was about $150 that time.

Do you have to be a calif. aaa member for the cheaper AP's? I am an AAA member in Oregon, can I buy them here?

Anyone can buy them with a AAA card, as long as you use the link
www.disneyland.com/westways (http://www.disneyland.com/westways). They are not honoring it at AAA locations either as far as I have heard.
