Help! I know you can get a Monte Cristo at the park but I don't know where? Do I need reservations at this restaurant?

You are so funny! The best is at the Blue Bayou ( the best) and ya most of the time you need a resv (this is the restruant in the Pirates ride). However I think the are making them at the new restruant across from the Bayou.

The other place is Cafe Orleans. It's not "new" as much as it's been "recently redesigned" - by recently, it's been about 18 months now.

Yes, they take priority seatings. I don't know how necessary they are but it's always a better idea to try to get a PS if you can, IMO.

The Blue Bayou is only offering the Monte Cristo on their lunch menu.

Cafe Orleans has it for both lunch and dinner (and even has some kind of breakfast version as well).

Still haven't been able to try it. Just looks way to heavy/greasy for me.

At the Blue Bayou you can get the classic version of the Monte Cristo (with turkey, ham and cheese), but only on the lunch menu. After 4:00, I believe, the dinner menu kicks in and it is no longer available. They also have a version of the Monte Cristo on the kid's menu, which is essentially a fried peanut-butter and jam sandwich.

At Cafe Orleans it is available throughout the day. They have the classic version with the meat, the kid's PB&J version and a three-cheese version with swiss, mozzarella and brie. At breakfast, they offer the three-cheese sandwich made with french toast.

At Cafe Orleans you can often get a table easily without a reservation, but I would definitely recommend one at BB. Enjoy!!

I was at Cafe Orleans on October 20th at about 8pm and there was a huge wait. I got a reservation for my next trip just to save time and be on the safe side.

We ate at Cafe Orleans in October (during the day) and when the kiddos weren't too happy with the mac n' cheese, the CM offered to replace with the PB&J Monte Cristo.

She said it was *toasted*, however, not fried? It's a Smuckers Uncrustable :) She said sometimes kids don't like it toasted so what would we prefer -- we opted for the plain ol' defrosted Uncrustable.

It seemed criminal to pay that much for an Uncrustable, but the kids were happy, so that's all that matters heehheheh :)

p.s. I would describe the 3 cheese Monte Cristo as a cheese filled donut.

I'd second the recommendation to get a PS for Cafe Orleans, especially for dinner. We've been twice for dinner (latest in September), and both times they were turning away anybody who didn't already had a reservation.

I have not had one of those in years.

Just thinking about it is making me hungry. I'll have to go looking for them on our next trip. Sounds like a great dinner
