Hello All, Looking for some help with power point. I have power point 2003 for teachers and students. I have a pc. I have created a ppt file for my students that I want to make into a video that I may try and place on teachertube.
So, my question.
Is there a way to save my ppt file into a video format? If so, how?

I think there is - most likely under "Slide Show" in the main menu. (I have 2002 at home, and so I assume there's a similar section in your version).
Just looking at the names of the commands there, it sure looks like it would work, and might be fairly straightforward. Not sure if it'll be 'far enough' down what you need to do, but that's where I would start.

Thanks Drince, Either my version doesn't have one or I just can't find it. Oh well, I'll keep looking.

There is a program called Camtasia that records your screen. They also have a powerpoint plug-in that I think you may be looking for. Here is the link

I believe the program costs $29.95.
Hope that helps.

Camtasia is actually a very high-end professional video capture tool that costs $399.
I have never heard of this product before so I can't attest to its quality, but a Google search did find a $50 tool for converting PowerPoint to video at http://www.ppt2video.com/.

Thank you NightKidsGTR and JeffG. I will look into both of those products. I did notice that Camtasia does have a free 30 day trial!!! Hopefully I can create the videos from the ppt file so that I don't have to recreate the whole thing in another program.
