Last year we saw the block party bash in Sunshine Plaza (?). It was great except my girls have never seen Monsters' Inc., and the characters sort of frightened them. My girls Love, Love, Love Jessie and Bullseye from Toy Story 2. Where do we sit to view them?

What characters have been seen at the Visa Meet and Greet at DCA? Where in DCA is the meet & greet?

The best place right now to see Woody and Jessie is at Woody's Halloween Roundup in DL behind Big Thunder Mountian Railroad. The parade in DCA has changed to a High School Musical theme and won't be pixar characters again until next Spring when the new parade debuts.

The meet and greet is in the winery area, just walk up the path through the grape vines and you can't miss it. Usually it is Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale. You get two or 3 of them at a time and the rotate every 15-20 minutes.

I think the OP was looking to catch the Toy Story unit in Block Party Bash, which has not run its final performance yet. High School Musical 2 also runs on a near daily basis. If you'd like to catch Jessie, I'd suggest sitting toward the front (aka of the parade, not the cement) few feet of the Party zone you'll be sitting in. Check the Times Guide for days of when each show will be running.

Bullseye doesn't appear in Block Party, but as DizneyMommy pointed out, Bullseye is appearing in the shows at Woody's Halloween Roundup. Until Wednesday. Then the ranch will be closed to undergo a decorational change for Christmas.

Also, generally the characters at the Visa meet and greet are Chip and Dale or Mickey and Goofy. Occasionally substitutions will be made (Pluto, Max, etc.), but you won't find out who you're meeting until you actually arrive at the visa location.

Oh, I forgot Block Party Bash is still running on weekends... I try to avoid weekends and they stopped running it on weekdays to replace it with HSM

Thanks for the info! It sounds like the characters seen at the Meet and Greet are the same ones as at Goofy's Kitchen. Maybe we'll check that out.

Well, yes and no. They are the same characters, if you happen to get them all at Goofy's, but they have different costumes on usually. The ones at the Meet and Greet are usually dressed in nautical type attire, it's pretty cute, and at the Meet and Greet you are not rushed, you can spend quite a bit of time with them if there is no one behind you. A lot of times when we go to that we are the only ones there for the whole 10-20 minutes we stay before my DD is over it. Plus with the M&G you get a coupon for a free photo print, and you can get a new one every day and use them all at the end of your trip if you are using photopass. :-)

Actually, when the Visa meet and greet was moved, the Nautical costumes were cut as well. Now the chipmunks go au natural, while Mickey and Goofy wear their California vacation gear.

Also, don't count on Mickey showing up at Goofy's Kitchen. He doesn't appear at any character dining at the resort (well, there is the hybrid Birthday party/photo thing, but that's the closest an average non-Club 33 diner can get).

Block Party Bash is no longer going on during the weekday? I looked at the event calendar for Dec and it is still on there. Is that a mistake?

Check the online calendar about when the Block Party Bash will run. It goes for a bit longer, I think. It ran Fri, Sat, Sun and I think Monday this last week.

If you ask the CM's, they can tell you where Buzz and Woody will appear. THere are 2 party zones - one by Sunshine Plaza. 10/28 the Buzz/Woody section stopped just past the walkway over to Soarin'. We sat there and they were just a bit beyond us. When we have watched it in the past, we have been by the Golden Dreams/Screams party zone. That time, we sat about down by the Sunglasses hut to see Buzz et al.

My kids also love Buzz and friends, so we always double check to make sure we're in the right area. My kids LOVE that parade and have a blast dancing and singing during it. Enjoy!!

Block Party Bash is not running most weekdays off-peak. Next week, and most of November for instance, it is not running Mon thru Thursday. The first 3 weeks of December, same thing, no show Mon-Thursday. The last week of December and first week of Jan it is running once every day and then as of Jan 7th it is off the calendar entirely.

If you really want to catch it, I would suggest you check the calendar for the exact dates you will be there as it is not running on a consistent schedule but seems rather to be used as a people catcher during busy days.
