I haven't riden the MK RR since I was a kid, and we will be there in 11 1/2 short days and would like to ride with my family.

My questions are: Can you bring your own stroller that folds on the train?
If not, does anyone know how long a round trip is?

I can't remember if they have a narrator on the train either. Is the train ride worth it?

Thanks in advance for the info!

Yes, you can bring a folding stroller on the train. We do this quite frequently ourselves as a fun way to get back and fourth between "lands."

If I do recall correctly, there is a narration track that is played during the ride between lands. (Im processing my vacation videos now so I might be able to confirm later. :) )

As for if its worth it? Sure. Its a relaxing way to get around the parks. You get to see a few things you normally would not see as well. Its just good old-fashioned fun. GusJr (whos 3) loves taking a ride on the "big choo-choo!"

There is a narration that is played between each train station. :)

I just got back yesterday. :)

Welcome back and thanks for all the info!!! It sounds like a great ride to take a break on, especially if we can bring the stroller with us.

There is both a pre-recorded narration and live announcements by the train conductor. Sometimes I wish he'd just shut up and let the recording play, but that's just me. The narration used to be by the great Thurl Ravenscroft (Theyyyrreee GRRREEAATTT!!!), but now it's by some other, anonymous voice. Still good, though. I like to take the train when I first hit the park on the first day of my visit. It's a really nice re-introduction to the park that I've been visiting since 1963!

I am looking forward to it as well! I like the "old fashioned" idea of it all!

We always do it once and stay on it to hear the entire loop. Then if we don't feel like walking and want to get to another part of the park we use it. It's a nice way to relax and take in the scenery.

I love the train as a great way to slow down and I always remember how Walt Disney loved the trains. I assume because of the stroller comment you have little kids. It is a good way to return from Toontown, or to get there. I believe the loop from the enterance to Toontown has more stuff to look at though.

I will be back at MK in 45 days as well. I have a 6 and 12 yr old now. But our first trip was when they were 18 mts and 7. Your question about railroads reminded me of something though that might be useful for you with the ages you have. There is a bridge the railroad goes over in FrontierLand and under it used to be a small play area perfect for Toddlers there (and a bathroom too) which is a great place to hang while your older child goes on Thunder Mountain.

I'm excited for the fun you will have!

It was still there in April (I didn't notice it last week, but I think I would have noticed it if it was gone). It's also really handy for Splash Mountain Kid Swap waiting as well. (My barely 3 yr old nephew really liked it. I was served many 'hamburgers' from the window while we were waiting :))

When my youngest was 3, he HAPPILY stayed there and it was hard to get him to leave after most of us rode Splash (Papaw stayed with him--he wasn't alone:))
