My husband and I are planning a quick, last minute trip to Disneyland on November 11, 12 and 13. We fly in from Portland on Sunday morning about 10:30am, and we are staying at the Candy Cane Inn (have not stayed there before, it was the best I could find at the last minute). We fly out on Tuesday about 8:30, which means we have to catch the shuttle at our hotel about 5:30pm.

We are buying a two-day pass, because on Monday we are going to Club 33 and will have a pass for that day.

So, here is what I know and have planned - I appreciate any suggestions!

Sunday - arrive, take shuttle from airport, check into hotel and get to Disneyland asap! We will probably grab a quick lunch on the way over, and maybe eat while we are walking (ANY SUGGESTIONS?) (OR I could call now and try and get lunch reservations at Blue Bayou?) When we get to the park, we will start grabbing fast passes and just go on whatever we can. Our priorities will be HMH, Indy, Splash, BTMR, Space, Pirates, you know the ones. If it is too crowded, we may also head over to DCA to get FP for rides over there, and take a couple of rides on TOT. (The good part is that we don't feel like we have to see EVERYTHING, because we have been to Disney a couple of times this year, so we can just do what we can.) We are getting older, so I don't know if we can do morning until close with no breaks like we used to, but we will probably stay as late as we can. I also have to get some shopping in at some point! I would also like to try and see the Fireworks if they are not cancelled that night.

Monday - now here is my dilemma - we will not have early entry if we use our Club 33 tickets, and how much time will we waste if we have to wait and pick them up at guest services? Would it be worth it to just get three day passes so we can have a few more hours on Monday? Also, if we buy two day passes, will we even get early entry on Tuesday?

Anyway, Monday, see what we can again see what we can see, as I'm sure the crowds will be horrendous! Dinner will be at 6, so I'm guessing we will have to be near the doors by 5:45, which means we will have to bring some clothes to change into at some point, because I don't want to take time to go all the way back to our hotel. I am guessing dinner will take until about 8:30, and since we are in the area, we will probably try and see Fantasmic!, since we haven't actually sat down and watched it the past few visits. Or if it's not windy, maybe then we will head over and hope to catch the fireworks.

Tuesday, hopefully we will have early entry and will get up REALLY EARLY and make the best of the day. WHAT time should we be in line? I am usually super early, but our last visit we got up a bit late, and we spent so much time in line, we missed most of the early entry. Also, I remember hearing about an area that was better to wait in than others. ANY SUGGESTIONS? We will try and have our stuff packed so we can be checked out and have the hotel hold our bags until we come to catch the shuttle. We will probably just spend this day seeing whatever we have missed, and finishing up shopping.

So, there are my loosely drawn plans. I would appreciate any advice and suggestions!

Also, who else is planning on being there that weekend?

Hmmm I was thinking about this and this is what I came up with. I would buy the 3 day park hoppers, use the EE for either Monday or Tuesday and then upgrade to an AP. It sounds like you go to Disneyland enough that it could be useful to do that. Then the next time you go to Disneyland, you might be able to get a great AP rate at one of the Disneyland Hotels and therefore be able to do the EE even though you have an AP.

As far as everything else, I am with you, have a relaxing time and do what you want as many times as you can get and just have fun.

I also made reservations for meals - Late lunch on Sunday for Cafe Orleans, late dinner at Rain Forest Cafe. Monday - Lunch at Carnation Cafe Tuesday - Lunch at Blue Bayou. I don't know for sure if I'll use them, but I have them just in case!

I can really use advice on tickets, though. I'd really like to use early entry on Monday and Tuesday - is that possible?

Even though it will be insanely crowded, I think that in those 3 days you can manage to do everything you want to do without having EE on Monday, it only gains you an hour and you will NOT be alone. The thing most people use EE for is Fantasy Land, so unless you really want to ride Dumbo and Peter Pan with no wait (which you can do Tuesday) it is not necessary. The big rides with the long lines have FP, use that and you will make it on most everything you want. Get in line for Nemo right before closing for the shortest line. Guest Services opens a while before the park does, maybe an hour, so you will not waste time getting your Club 33 tickets.

Oh... and you mentioned adding a PS for Sunday... I think that ship has sailed, they will not likely have a single PS left in the whole park at this point.

Surprisingly, they did have SOME seating available for the weekend. I thought I had better make reservations just in case, because our time is so limited, and I don't want to waste any more time that I need to waiting in line for meals!

Thanks - I think I will talk with my husband and see if EE is as important to him as it is to me. We may just get a two day pass to save money, as this was an unplanned trip :)
