So, as calm as our Fall Season has been so far and hoping that December doesn't bring a Frost all of a sudden.
What's it like the beginning of December for swimming in the pools?
I'm just trying to figure out if I should pack swim suits or not...

We went the end of Nov. beginning of Dec. and DS swam and enjoyed himself, DD and I just couldn't do it, we sat in the hot tub and froze when we got out. I think it just depends on how warm blooded you are, DD and I bring a sweater when its 70 out, hubby and DS are comfy in t shirt and shorts!

While the water at the resort pools and water parks are heated to around 80F, it really depends on the ambient temp. If it is sunny outside and in the 70's, it may feel pretty decent. However, going for a quick dip once the sun goes down may be a different thing. Its not really the being in the water part that's bad... but when you get out and are wet - it can be chilly. :)

I have been there in both Nov and Dec and depending on where your "home" is you can go swimming. We are from the Chicago area so we swim in the 60's and 70's LOL!!! I have even worked on a tan in the end of Nov. Mostly in the middle of the day, I dont think we went night swimming at all. I would bring them, casuse if you don't, you know it will be great swimming weather and you won't have your suits.
Have a great trip!

That portion of the answer is exactly what I was thinking! A swimsuit is one of those things where the cost-benefit analysis pretty much always indicates you should bring it. Even if might not swim, you could end up kicking yourself if you don't have the option...
Here's hopin' the sun shines brightly on your trip (and mine too)!:D

We keep the water in all the slides and pools around 80F (27C) except for Shark Reef which does not have filters, pumps or heaters. What you want is a day that will be bright and sunny and preferably not windy.
If you go on a day that is heavily overcast you will not be able to take advantage of any radiant heating (from the sun) or on a windy day (especially with a dry wind from the North) you will get hit by wind chill.
But a day with the highs in the mid-50s or above which is sunny and calm most people (at least from Northern climates) should be comfortable.
