We're headed for our first trip to WDW & Typhoon Lagoon (I've read it's better suited for kid) next spring.

My 3-year old loves water slides and has gone down numerous "big grown-up" ones sitting with his dad. He prefers those to the "kiddie ones" in the toddler areas.

My question is - do the slides allow two people go down together at Typhoon Lagoon? And if yes, I'm assuming that excludes the ones with height restrictions? Or will I be stuck listening to excessive whining as he watches his dad & two older brothers having fun on the "big boy" slides"?

Thanks!

We have been to both water parks and I actually like BB better for a toddler. The waves in the pool at Typhoon were so huge grownups get knocked over! Our little ones could bob in the blizzard waves no problem, also the ski patrol kid camp had a lot more excitement for them than the TL kids area. There were tube slides that you can ride down in double tubes and a great family raft ride, the best I've been on in any park!

If you have younger kids, TL is great, though. They have the beach where they can dig (and you can buy $.99 buckets at the entrance - with shovels!), and behind the wave pool, there is an area that gets water from the wave pool and they can splash around in the puddles. I took the baby (she was 1 1/2) on the lazy river - she sat in the inner tube and I pushed. She LOVED the waterfalls and everything.

For you, though, you might want to do BB as it sounds like it has more "activities" geared toward your kid. I just wanted to post my thoughts in case other moms read this. If your kid can handle the slides, sounds like BB. If they are younger and want to go in the pool but need help - maybe TL.

Hi hockeywidow (and sorry for your loss, I'm a football widow),
I can't answer your question, but there's a poster on MousePad who might. Cheshire Figment I believe either works in the water parks now or used to. You could try posting in the WDW forum on everything else in the world.
