View Full Version : Lilo & Stitch Breakfast Off the Menu Question~
jsilkey 10-21-2007, 11:35 AM I was able to see the menu on another site. I am wondering a couple of things about this process...
Does the waitstaff treat you differently? Will the "experience" portion of the dining feel the same?
Can you split a breakfast between 2 adults? We have some light morning eaters....
Thank you to all!!
DisneyJenn 10-21-2007, 12:20 PM I am assuming you are referring to the Lilo & Stitch breakfast at PP. I just did that on Sept 19th. It was myself and my Dad (2 adults)... Arrive early, there is usually a wait. They bring you in to the buffet... no menus or any idea of price. You get your pic taken with the character (minnie, daisy, etc...). They sit you down and you get to order your drink. Then, they tell you to hit the buffet. They have mickey shaped pancakes, scrambeled eggs with a hawaiian feel and an omlet bar. They even have chicken nuggets for breakfast! The variety is pretty good.
The entertainment was great for kids. Lot's of characters dancing (off and on, so you have to be there at the right time). Lilo and/or Stitch will come visit each table. Stitch colored with the kids at the table next door for a long time. They loved it! He then came to our table and lingered for a long time. Since we were 2 adults, it was kinda akward! (Not to mention, my dad had no idea who it was!)
Then, a gal comes by and shows you the pics you took at the beginning. Don't assume they are free... nope, $32 for 1 8x10 and 4 5x7's. (This is before you see the bill...)
You finally get the bill and realize with a cheap tip, it's $60 for 2 adults (and no, since it's a buffet, everyone must pay)!
All-in-all, if you are rich and have kids do it or if it's a once in a lifetime, do it. If it is a once in a lifetime, I would do a character breakfast at the park instead.
One thing to keep in mind as well, it's basically the only restaraunt in PP, so you are kinda stuck. There's a bar area, but I never saw anyone in there do anything but drink.
Hope that helps!
PS.. Then want to buy frames for the pics, so all in all, the breakfast cost me $150 for 2 adults.
Jewels 10-21-2007, 01:35 PM Just make sure you tell them right off that you want to order off the menu not do the buffet. You will be treated just the same. We were. And the characters make the rounds to all the tables. It did not matter what you were eating. We never split a meal between two people but I would think it would not be a problem.
DisneyJenn 10-21-2007, 03:06 PM They didn't give us the option for a menu for breakfast, but that's good to know for next time!
lbrackjo 10-21-2007, 08:00 PM As was said, we just say we'd like to roder off the menu and not have the buffet. We've been visted just the same by the characters. We have done this at Paradise Pier and at Grand Cal. charachter breakfasts. Some day they may drop this, but it helps save some money if you are not big breakfast eaters. Enjoy.
2princesses 10-22-2007, 06:14 PM We were there 2 weeks ago and I did notice the waiter wasn't exactly thrilled when I asked for a menu. He brought 1 for a party of 12!!! The experience was still the same and the kids had tons of interaction. We have done the buffet before but since we're not big breakfast eaters it seemed like a waste. The portions are large (even on the kids menu) so you could definitely share. Most of the items were around $10. Be sure to show your AP or AAA card.
Malcon10t 10-22-2007, 07:16 PM Here is both the buffet and regular breakfast menu.

You simply ask for a menu for the regular meals. The buffet is about $27, which includes the tip. The pictures are not free, but nice to check out. We usually get 1 or 2 sets a weekend.
jsilkey 10-22-2007, 09:41 PM Thanks for all the info!!
If I call Disney Dining, would they be able to answer the question about adults sharing meals? If not, any thoughts on who to ask?
Trying to make a decision about adding this, but want to check before we decide :p

If they can't they will call the place and ask.
PanFan 10-23-2007, 11:45 AM I've shared meals there before. I don't recall anything about a split plate fee. The last time we went, they asked what we wanted to drink and said OJ and coffee were included. I said we would like to see the menu and didn't want the buffet. The waitress seemed a little disgruntled at first, but provided good service the rest of the time. The breakfast burrito is definitely big enough to share!
Character interaction has been great every time I've been, with or without kids. My dad didn't know who Lilo and Stitch were either. He kept calling Stitch a rabbit and Lilo a pig!

ROTFL!!!! How cute! My DH wanted to know what was so funny :D
Thanks for the info!! Hope all is well where you are....watching the fire reports is scary :(
PanFan 10-23-2007, 01:28 PM I laughed at him for the longest time, but honestly I can see how he thought that!
It seems the worst has passed for us firewise, but we're keeping the car packed for a little while longer. Thanks for the well-wishes!

Thank you so much for this info. The proofreader in me can not resist, however:
"Micky Mouse" Waffle
with sweet cream butter and male syrup
$9.39
1. I'm pretty sure the rodent spells his name with an "e" in it. I don't know who this "Micky Mouse" character is.
2. Sweet cream butter and MALE syrup???!!! I'm good with the butter, but do I want to know about the syrup?
lakertitanfan 10-25-2007, 10:33 PM You can not split the breakfast between two adults, but you can go and not eat, and maybe pick up a muffin or something elsehwere
