Hi!
We are going to disneyland for halloween night then the next two days one of which is my husbands 28th birthday! I know to stop off at city hall to tell them it's his birthday and get a sticker but what does the sticker get you later on in the day? I've heard rumors of moving you to the front of the line...is it true?
Thanks!

It will get you a sticker.

And some "happy birthdays" from cast members, possibly a little more attention from costumed characters. No passes to the front of the line - I wish! But still fun and worth the quick stop by town hall. They personalize the sticker with name and age. We've always gone to d-land for DD's birthday and I ask for two stickers - one to wear, one for the scrapbook :)

Shucks, it would have been nice to beat some of those lines!
But great tip about getting the extra sticker for scrapbooking I will make sure to do that!

They give birthday buttons at City Hall now instead of the stickers. Much more durable and still personalized (with a sharpie to the outisde of the button, not inside on the paper so it may potentially rub off over time). We got one for my DH last month.

Enjoy & Happy Birthday to your hubby! šoš

I spent my birthday in the park summer 06 and my son got me the birthday sticker and I'll tell you this - It was the funnest birthday I've had since I was a little kid. The cast members were terrific. Everyone I passed or came close to said happy birthday to me. I received a phone call from Goofy in the candy shop wishing me happy birthday and at the parade the parade characters waved and yelled happy birthday. It was a blast. One cast member had people on Main Street singing happy birthday to me. It really was so special. No, I didn't get to bypass lines, but I never considered that so wasn't disapointed in it. I'd love to spend every birthday at the happiest place on earth. I spent 17 hours in the park that day and it was so great!

Yes, birthdays are wonderful at Disneyland! I wore my button for four days and was wished Happy Birthday from CMs everywhere, as well as many visitors! At Ariel's Grotto where we had lunch on my actual birthday, four of the restaurant staff sang "Happy Birthday" to me and brought me dessert with a candle in it! Also, all five princesses were very attentive and posed for pics. I don't know if wearing the button gets you any special privileges on rides (I did ask for front seats on POTC and IASW and got them, but not necessarily due to the button), but it is still fabulous to celebrate a birthday at the resort! Make it a week-long party! :)

We spent my birthday in the park the last 2 years, and will be going back in January for the next one.
We go to PCH grill for breakfast, and when we make our ps arrangements i let them know it's my birthday. When we arrive at PCH grill, my birthday button is waiting and then at the table the last time was a card signed by about a dozen characters. We also got special attention during the hula dance lesson. And the cake and candle etc. Inside the park, my birthday button got me a lot of birthday wishes and one amazing lady in the candy store sang me the coolest version of Happy birthday ever. Totally worth it to go to PCH grill and get my button there- no lines to wait in.
It is really weird for people to greet you with "Happy birthday, Roxanne" Threw me for a loop a few times.
