How does one arrange for this? Do you call the number you use for restaurant seating?

Two tips for you, Toocherie.

Tickets go on sale one month before the day you want to attend the show. So, if you want to go to the 9:00pm seating on November 25, you would call on October 25. I used to see it stated as "30 days" in advance (instead of one month), but got caught up in a timing problem one time when there was a 31 day month in front of the date I wanted to attend. I had to compromise and take the date after the one I originally wanted.

Also, start calling a couple of minutes prior to 8:00am Pacific time. The phone lines sometimes open a few minutes early and a very busy date may sell out quickly. Of course, that was more the case for balcony seating, but with the holidays coming it may apply to Riverside now as well.

Good luck and enjoy the show!

Is the priority seating at Fantasmic worth the $59 and $49? I called yesterday and I know that I have to make reservations 30 days prior. What do you get for that price? Do they offer discounts for AAA, Disney Visa, etc?

You get a variety of cookies/strawberries in chocolate, sodas and hot drinks (choclate/coffee/tea.)

The price includes chocolate?!?!?!?! No one stepping on your fingers and squeezing into that 2 inch space between me and my DH? Sounds like heaven! :fez:

We did it on 10/19 and it was totally worth it for me. There were so many people there that night. I am positive we wouldn't have seen Fantasmic without it. The crowds were crazy. It was such a relief knowing that we had a reserved seat right in front of the action. I don't have great eyesight and am only 5'3", so this spot was even better for me than the one time we did balcony. Plus, we enjoyed our snack boxes for days after we left.

I really like it and find it a good price for a once in a while treat. We do not do it every time we got to the park.

We tried it for the 1st time last weekend. It was very nice! The treats are yummy, and it's a relief to not have to save a spot. It's not something I would do every trip because it is a lot of $, but it was a nice treat!

How close is the seating to the show? I have an 1 year old and also a 4 year old who doesn't dig loud noises. Is it pretty intense from these seats?

I've taken my nephew who has major sound issues (he was 4) and he did fine. It is much louder over by River Belle. If they can handle the regular fireworks, they should be ok with Fantasmic!

I think the show is much too intense for children of that age if they are sitting in the reserved seats. The special effects and art seem so close that you feel like you are part of the show. The fire-on-the-water rushes at you with such force and heat - so close that you can actually feel the heat from the flames! The spinning, whirling colors and crashing symphonic sounds are really spine-tingling for adults at times - and in the reserved seats, the noise seems like it is all around you. The battle scene is pretty fierce. I can see nightmares for weeks to come if you have sensitive children.

I would take young children over to the side .. on the walkway by the Pirates Lair/Tom Sawyer boats. There you will find landscaping that provides seating on a stone fence/planter and gives you a good view of the fireworks to boot. You may not experience the whole impact of the show, but you will see enough of the characters to amuse your children and not have them too close to the action.

So if I can't afford reserve seating, where is a good place to stand? When is it on? I arrive Nov 29th and am there until Dec 3rd

Priority Seating

Just got my seats for December 20th at 9pm. Was not aware that they had moved the Priority Seating to the River. So all the better! :D:D

We went last night and had a 1-year old and a 5 year old sitting right behind us and they did great! Really enjoyed it--I might suggest that you get in the second or third row rather than right in front so they feel "protected" if they are sensitive.

Sorry for the delay in response - I saw your message quite awhile ago and then could not find the string again. Thanks for the info - very helpful.

Thanks - My 4 year old does not like loud noises, so I guess I'm going to have to wait until he's older. Thanks much for sending along this info though - take care!

If you don't want to scary the kiddies? I wouldn't reccomend Fantasmic for anyone under the age of 4, (loud effects, scary dragon, etc.) but some kids can handle it. If you wanna try it out, I'd pick a spot a few rows back from the front, or off to the side.

If you DON'T need a spot that isn't scary to little ones, it all depends on where you want to sit. (I reccomend front row center if you can snag it in the second show! But be warned that front row center is usually a misty spot, and it gets pretty cold up there. A jacket would be a good idea.) For any seat, I would reccomend showing up a little before the fireworks start. Find a spot behind the area you want to be in (without blocking anyone's view of course) and duck into that spot once the fireworks are over. (Once while staking out my front-row center spot, there was even room for me to sit with the first show's group, that was REALLY nice!)

Thanks much for sending along this info though - take care!My nieces and nephews haven't had a problem with the show. (My niece calls it the "Fire on the water" show.) Even my nephew (3 at the time) who has major issues with noises just plugged his ears and watched the show (and loved it, wanted to see it again.)
