Has anyone stayed at either of the two DisneyLand Tokyo Disney hotels? Which one is better? Is the hotel Ambassador good? It looks boring because it seems like any modern hotel.:confused:

I didn't stay at either one, but my wife and I checked them out for possible future visits. The MiraCosta is amazing--it looks like a true five-star hotel from start to finish. The Ambassador reminded me of the Disneyland Hotel, like you said it seems like any modern hotel. It did have the Disney cleanliness and cast member quality, plus the benefits of being a true Disney resort rather than an "official" resort or "good neighbor" hotel.

For my money, the MiraCosta is the only way to go (and I regret not doing it last time).

My husband and I stayed at the MiraCosta this past January. It was fabulous--probably the best hotel room we've ever had, and we have travelled a lot in both the US and Europe, staying always in more luxury type hotels. You can find more info about MiraCosta in the next installment of our trip report which should be posted sometime this week. Hopefully that will give you some more info, pictures, etc. I would highly recommend staying there, although it is a bit expensive (we paid around $300 a night).
