Has anyone stayed at Port Orleans Riverside? It is nice, would it work for 2 adults and 3 kids,(one being a teenager)? We are thinking of staying there next time we go but would like some info.
Also can you get a fridge? We did in 06 at all Star Movies because my son has a milk allergy and I need to bring our own substitute. Can you do that there? Are they the one with the Alligator pool? That looks fun!:)
Any info would be great, good or bad! Thanks!

We have stayed here before and we really like it. Be sure to request a room with a trundle bed since there are 5 of you. Yes, you will get a small fridge and I believe it comes standard with the room. This is actually our favorite moderate resort!

The refrigerator comes standard in Moderates and above.
The dragon slide is at Port Orleans French Quarter (and has some cute gators playing musical instruments on the walkway to it). The pool at Riverside is on Ole Man Island and is more 'rustic' feeling. BUT, you can pool jump if you're staying at these two resorts, because they are considered one resort!
Is the teenager the smallest or the biggest of the kids? The reason I ask is that I've heard that the trundle bed offered is not an adult sized bed, and might be tight for a regular sized teenager. Just something to be aware of!
ETA: I've stayed here multiple times and would be staying there next week if we hadn't decided to go for a different resort this time around, just for the change (and special rate that was ONLY available at that moderate!)

Great thanks for the info. We will have to pool hop and check out the Gator Pool. My teen is the biggest of the 3 kiddos. He will be 14 by the time we go and probably taller than the 5'6 he is now. Good to know about the frisge then I don't have to get a doctors note!!

We love POR. We've always stayed in the Alligator Bayou section because of the trundle beds. The mansions and the Frech Quarter rooms only sleep 4. With five in one room it's a little cozy, but definitely doable. A lot of people complain about how small the trundle bed is, and YMMV, but we've had teenagers choose it over sleeping in the same bed as a brother and do just fine.

We loved the POR. We have 6 people in our family, so we booked ajoining rooms. The theming is really fun. We had a lot of fun at the pools as well. We never did swim in the Croc pool, but liked Ol' Man Island. The rooms are really nice. We were very pleased.:)

We love POR, it is our favorite, we just stayed there for a week in September and are booked there for another week Sept 2008. The food court is great, the pools are amazing, and the grounds are beautiful to stroll around on especially at night. We stay in Aliigator Bayou with our kids, and although it sometimes gets a bit crowded, it works great. I highly recommend it! Have fun!

Okay one more question: Is the trundle bed that small? Heard it is 54 inches and very thin. My daughter most likely will be sleeping on it and she is about 52 inches right now. Is she going to be miserable? Should we just plan on her camping out on the floor instead? Thanks.
