I'm staying at the caribbean beach resort in December and I was just wondering how the bus is to the various parks. I'm definitely set on driving over to the studios, parking there is very speedy. I've never parked at Epcot. Is it easier to take the bus or drive to Epcot? Magic Kingdom is also time consuming to park at having to wait for the monorail or ferry. Is the bus a better option for the MK?

i don't drive but i'd have to think the bus is almost always better than driving when going to MK.

as far as CBR goes, I like Jamaica. it's standard, a brief walk across caribbean cay to OPR and at least half the time is the first island to get picked up and first to be dropped off (it does vary since CBR has a couple of entrances)

We were at CBR in May. Took the bus everywhere. Wait time was decent-longest ever for pick up was 20 minutes and that was only a couple of times; most of the time it was 10 minutes; every village has it's own stop so you're never far from the bus. Highly recommend the bus for MK-it's the only way you're off-loaded "right there"-rather than having to ferry and tram in from the parking lot. One thing-I would have appreciated a car when at DTD at night or when having dinner hotels-those travel times were lengthy-but I knew that going in, and as a newbie didn't want to drive.

We paid extra for preferred and were in Trinidad North. Would I do preferred again? Not sure-as Brad said if I was lucky enough to be in Jamaica(non-preferred) it's probably about the same walking distance to OPR as we had-we were the last building to be "preferred"-but we also could be put in the hinter lands and that's a quite a distance from OPR.

We always drive to the parks and with the bus system not many people do it anymore. Whenever we drive to Epcot (we usually get there around 11) we are one of the few first rows.

We only drive to Downtown Disney. Taking the bus to the parks is more convenient for us.

We usually drive, especially if we are staying at a resort with shared bus stops. I've gotten to Epcot (and not even that early) and been too close to take the parking lot tram.

We used to be huge fans of the disney busses but too many really long waits/surly bus drivers later we now drive.

In our last trip we had our car and we tried to drive to the parks to give a good comparison. The only time we came out ahead is when we would go to Epcot in the afternoon. We would usually take an up-front spot from someone who left already. Other than that, it was just easier to take the bus.

Car all the way, with the AAA "Diamond Parking" worked great. We did the busses the first couple of days, but waiting at CBR for the right bus, and then waiting at the parks for the right, (not full) bus, to go back, drove us into a car within two days. I liked the flexibility of the car. It suited us.
