Hi all,

we are going to disney from Nov6-11 with a 9yr old and a 1 yr old. We would like to take advantage of the ride switch option so both my husband and I can ride the "thrill" rides. Do we both wait in line with the baby? or does one wait with the nine yr old and then somehow switch with the baby? I think you have to leave your stroller outside most of the lines, so that means you have to carry your baby while in line, right? Any ideas or suggestions on making this easier? Plus I know she can ride any ride without a height requirement, so we will take her on all we can, but that again means holding her the entire time we are in line I assume. ( she doesnt walk yet, although I am working on it eveyday!! LOL!) ( I forgot to mention that we are older parents and she is vey active!! ):D Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

You can wait in line with her and hold her...hopefully the lines won't be too long.

We did this with our daughter when she was 9 months old. Your arms get tired quickly and we switched off between Mom and Dad carrying her.

We also brought some of her favorite things to either munch on or a juice bottle, favorite toy, etc. Anything to keep her occupied...but at that time it was Easter and it was crazy packed! So, I toted the diaper bag and then when we switched off, whoever had the baby had the diaper bag.

So, I don't think November will be too bad except it will be Jersey week and the crowds pick up during that time, but not awful like Spring Break.

All I remember mostly is our older daughter got to ride every ride twice...once with Mom then with Dad. She was loving it!!!

You might want to consider a sling or some sort of carrier like that for when you're in line.

Regarding the rider switch pass, you all go to the first CM outside the line and ask for one. Parent 1 waits in the regular line with the 9 year old and Parent 2 waits nearby with the 1 year old. When Parent 1 finishes riding with the 9 year old, parent 2 and the 9 year old generally go to the Fastpass line and use the rider switch pass as a fastpass. If the attraction doesn't have a fastpass, just ask the CM who gives you the pass where you're supposed to go.

I'd recommend deciding where you'll meet up before hand. There are some 'play areas' that might be fun for a toddler (not sure how great they'd be for a crawler) - in the MK there is one under the train station at Splash Mountain (so you can use that one for Splash and for Big Thunder Mt RR) and another one near Pooh (which might be useful for really long lines in tomorrowland).

You do not need to use the rider switch pass right after Parent 1 and the 9 year old ride; you can save it for later in the SAME day (they're only good for the day that you get them). Also, if you have fastpasses, you can piggy back them together, but that might be a bit much for just 3 riders.

It might be a little more crowded than otherwise due to the Veteran's Day Holiday, but earlier in your trip shouldn't be too noticable.

What is Jersey Week?

LOL! I keep forgetting...I'm from New Jersey and not everyone is aware of it. Jersey week is when the schools in NJ have off the week that wraps around Veteran's Day Holiday and a good percentage of Jersians take advantage of that whole week off from school and head to WDW.

It should be ok. The dates are wrapping around from Nov. 3 to the 10th this year.

Yeah but don't think all of Jersey is off that week. I always thought it was but we are the only town in my area that has that week off.

But a lot of people do have a few days off during that week because of election day and veteran's day so they pull their kids out anyway.

Funny you should mention that...this is the first year I can remember my daughters having the entire week off.

Usually, they had a few days, but a whole week! So, now I'm srambling on "what to do....what to do"......hmmm, taps fingers......hmmmmm, shop? Movies......visit........go camping.

Although, I don't have off from work...I wish I did though! :fez:
