LostBoy02 10-11-2007, 11:02 AM Ok, You can have dinner anywhere on the resort. DL, DCA, DTD and any of the hotels.... Where would you eat??? adriennek 10-11-2007, 11:06 AM Napa Rose. Adrienne Jim Dear and Darling 10-11-2007, 11:07 AM Naples Restorante has wonderful peperoni pizza and caesar salads. It's my favorite restaurant in the resort (DTD) Off site, I love Mimi's Café, and inside the parks, Café Orleans and the Carnation Café are nice. And if you can afford it, Goofy's Kitchen is sure fun if you had kids. Andrew 10-11-2007, 11:18 AM Napa Rose. That's number 1. Also, Tortilla Jo's Cantina (the outside section) and Plaza Inn. DDDB 10-11-2007, 12:06 PM Always Club 33 :) :) Wendy Bird 10-11-2007, 12:08 PM Golden Horseshoe nice and quiet and out of the sun/rain/cold/whatever Wendi 10-11-2007, 01:01 PM Yamabuki. twinklelittlebat 10-11-2007, 02:32 PM Blue Bayou!!! Well, for lunch actually. Whenever I am at Disneyland, I have to take (as I like to call it) "The Monte Cristo Challenge." I can never eat a whole one, but I sure do have fun trying. In fact, I'll be taking The Challenge next Monday! Yum!! DLmomof2 10-11-2007, 04:09 PM Outside the park I like ESPN. DCA for a quick dinner Pacific Wharf Cafe. DL for now it is Redd Rockets Pizza Port. Some of you are going to cringe at what I am about to say. I have never eaten at Cafe Orleans, Plaza Inn and Carnation Cafe. I go to DL at least every year and there is no excuse. Rest assured these places are on my list for my Dec. trip. I have eaten at Blue Bayou and was not impressed. DizneyMommy 10-11-2007, 05:46 PM Plaza Inn fried chicken hands down! MikenTra 10-11-2007, 09:55 PM My vote is for the River Belle Terrace, the BBQ platter for dinner or if it is really cold (you know lower 60's) steak gumbo Royal Street Veranda for Disneyland.DCA is Pacific Wharf cafe and Tortilla Joe's for Downtown Disney but I have a question. What is the difference between the restaurant, cantina and taqueria? DLmomof2 10-11-2007, 10:10 PM What is the difference between the restaurant, cantina and taqueria? One is the sit down restaurant and the other is more counter service/ take out. I think the taqueria is the counter service version. Naples also has the same set up. There is Naples Ristorante and the counter sevice is Napolini. Mrs Mouse 10-11-2007, 10:13 PM Plaza Inn fried chicken hands down! I'll second this! Runner-up within the park would have to be Cafe Orleans. Andrew 10-11-2007, 10:48 PM What is the difference between the restaurant, cantina and taqueria? One is the sit down restaurant and the other is more counter service/ take out. I think the taqueria is the counter service version. Tortilla Jo's has the indoor seating with full menu, outdoor cantina seating with a limited menu (but in fact you can usually order anything on the full menu) and a walk-up tacqueria window with a fast-food style menu. I really like the cantina but am not so hot on the indoor seating. evilqueento2 10-11-2007, 10:53 PM Blue bayou, I love the ambience... and the food is yummy.10 more days and monte cristo here I come. dizy4disney1 10-12-2007, 03:38 PM Blue Bayou (for the atmosphere), Cafe Orleans, Pizza Port (love thier pizza salad). I'm going to try Carnation Cafe this December and hoping I'll love it, too. cstephens 10-13-2007, 11:45 AM Depending on circumstances, either Napa Rose or Catal upstairs. jMom 10-13-2007, 06:41 PM Depends ... I think Cafe Orleans has a great view at night. I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken pot pie on Main Street one night at the Carnation Cafe ... and I even got to see the parade while I ate . In DTD, my husband and I really enjoyed dining at both Catal and Ralph Brennan's. Have never done it, but I would expect Club 33 to top 'em all! ;) I think they should set up some fine dining near Tomorrowland, where you could use the Lagoon & Matterhorn for a view (and book for fireworks too!). tod 10-14-2007, 09:52 AM I found Blue Bayou to be overcrowded, overpriced and the food wasn't all that good the last time The tod Family went, which is the last time I plan to go. I've heard good things about Napa Rose, and if somebody is willing to fork out the coin I'd be happy to check it out, but my tried-and-true tested and approved place is The Vineyard Room. --t tlovesdis 10-14-2007, 02:19 PM Blue Bayou for lunch and Rainforest Cafe for dinner! cstephens 10-14-2007, 11:53 PM I've heard good things about Napa Rose, and if somebody is willing to fork out the coin I'd be happy to check it out, but my tried-and-true tested and approved place is The Vineyard Room. I used to love The Vineyard Room when it was still just a set menu place. I've tried to go back a couple times, but every time I look at the menu, I'm not interested and would rather spend the comparable money elsewhere. danyoung 10-15-2007, 08:35 AM Well, other than Club 33 which would be just about every superfans' dream, I'd go for breakfast at the Riverbelle Terrace (seated outside and watching the Mark Twain go by), lunch at the Blue Bayou (although I haven't been since they changed the menu last year), and dinner at the Vineyard in DCA, seated outside on the patio. Mmmmm, good eating! carolinakid 10-15-2007, 01:09 PM especially if the Electrical Parade is performing that evening. If the timing's right, we watch the parade from the patio balcony. iamtheevilqueen 10-15-2007, 01:58 PM My vote: Carnation Cafe for Breakfast Cafe New Orleans or French Market for Lunch Goofy's Kitchen for Dinner (this is actually my son's vote) MrsPooh 10-15-2007, 02:39 PM Always Club 33 :) :) You took the words right out of my mouth! ;) |
